I ordered this product for my children for a Christmas present this past year! This was SOOOOOO much fun to do with my children. We were able order the caterpillars a few months later, in the spring, and watch them grow, all whole using the timeline sheet to see all the different stages the caterpillar went through to become a beautiful butterfly!

I did a butterfly life stage in kindergarten and it was such a memorable childhood experience, I had to share it with my toddler!The butterflies 4 stages of life happened to be in his curriculum so it was perfect opportunity to bring his school activity to life. He’s almost 3YO - so it was a great exercise to learn gentleness.TBH, you don’t even need to have a child and I’m sure it’ll be entertaining!Had a little difficulty refilling the water sugar solution but found a way by sliding in a spoon full and just dripping it onto the sponge from the top. Def recommend!

This butterfly growing kit was such a cool experience. It came with a voucher for free caterpillars, which arrived quickly and were all alive and healthy. The little pop-up habitat is the perfect size and super easy to set up. My kids loved watching the caterpillars grow and turn into chrysalises, and then finally into butterflies.We released them in our garden and it was such a special moment. This kit is a great mix of fun and learning, and it keeps kids engaged the whole time. I highly recommend it for families, classrooms, or anyone who wants to see the magic of nature up close.

This is the real deal... Purchase yours today and give those kiddos a science lesson they will love! I love the idea of this being so hands on and so easy for the kiddos to be able to complete on their own. My son grew butterflies and was so amazed at the process they go to become a beautiful butterfly. This can be a great buy for A Bible lesson as well. How we change when we allow the spirit of Christ in. As a teacher you can use this for so many things and it's fun, easy to assemble and great quality and design.

Cool Experience! But there were flaws (with anything naturally). When we put in the order for our caterpillars, we received 6 (not 5) which was awesome! The habit was easy to pop up for use. The instructions for caring for the caterpillars and butterflies were easy to follow, and simple.The sad part - not all 6 of our caterpillars made it .... 3 of them never made it to the top of the jar when they turned into a chrysalis, so they had to be moved to the bottom of the habitat when transferred. Out of those 3, only 1 actually came out of the chrysalis and dried it's wings. The other 2 got stuck inside and we're living on their backs. We unfortunately had to squish them because they weren't going to live if they couldn't drink the sugar-water or fly away.Overall, this was a cool experience to watch over time. We checked on their progress every day!

My Granddaugther is into 'kits' and 'crafts' lately so I got her a bunch of different kits, this being one of them. She absolutely loves it! For the cost, its well worth it and instructions are easy to follow. Ill get more of them for birthday gifts for kids cause its such a fun craft kit!

Just follow all the directions! It actually worked! My great Grandson enjoyed the process(but you need patience) We had 4 butterflies but one died. He loved letting them fly away! He is 7.
