Great, Inexpensive, Low to Moderate Height Stool With a Back
I got this chair from an Amazon Warehouse deal, with the price being around $25 after everything was said and done (I honestly think that price was a mistake because I saw the no-back drafting stool for approx. the same price used). Just assembled it and it works as it should, although some of the holes weren't drilled very well (hard to thread into.) But, it holds just fine it seems and I am very happy with what I got for $25. If you see this chair with the back for less than $30, it's a steal and you should buy it. I think it's okay for $50 as it is right now full price (not sure I'd pay $70 for the quality you get with this). Anything under $50 I think this chair is worth the money. This chair is also very nice because most rolling tools that come with backs sit on the high side (25-30 inches.) This one does not, it sits low like a stool without a back does, which is exactly what I was looking for. Pros: • It is GREAT for low to moderate height tasks. I have a low table that my 3d printers sit on and this will be excellent for me to be able to roll all the way around the table and stay seated. If you're looking to do any work on a high table or area (over ~25-30 inches), this stool is NOT good for that. • It does not have one of those metal rings to put your feet on that other rolling stools with backs do. I dislike those as I find that those rings put my feet up too high most of the time, making me uncomfortable. (This is a subjective Pro) • The wheels roll very well so far. • The seat is pretty large diameter which I find rather comfortable, although this is no office chair in terms of comfort. • Very easy to assemble. • The back is not required to be attached, so you can take it off if you want and use this as without it in the future if your task would be better suited without the back Cons: • Poorly threaded holes on the bottom of the seat (but the screws still worked well enough to hold everything together strongly so I didn't take a star off) • Caster wheels will likely not fair very well on carpet or in very dirty environments in the long run. • Wheels do not lock. • Back is not adjustable, but I do not care about this. The bottom line is: this is an excellent rolling stool with a back that sits at lower heights. It does not feel like it's on the brink of falling apart on me at all. If you purchase this, put it together properly, and don't beat the hell out of it, it will likely last a long time. The only unknown is if the gas cylinder will last. I will not find out because I intend to use this stool at its lowest height, anyways. If you're interested and see this for <$30, definitely buy it!

Very well made
Ordered this still & it was too short so I ordered same brand (AMZ basics) only in a taller dressing that is proper height for my workbench use. I like this one so much I’m not sending it back; I’m keeping it to use at my kitchen b’fast bar as the stool for the spot I do my mail & paperwork EZ assembly (15 minutes); all plates fit perfectly; it’s comfortable, rolls well & height adjusts smoothly. A quality chair !!

Satisfied with this basic purchase
I have had this chair for about six weeks now and I wanted to use it before I left a review. For the dollars I am totally satisfied. This chair has proven to be very well built. The base seems to heavy duty. The padding on the seat is really nice and on the back rest. I have no issues with this chair. I have a small cabinet shop and that’s where I use it, rolling all over the shop. It has been one of the better purchases. I’ve made here recently.

For use as a guitar player's seat, it works well.
I finally realized I needed a quality chair or seat for playing guitar. I like to sit when practicing, jamming or recording. Folding chairs never seem comfortable, and any office type chair with arms makes playing awkward. So, before I bought this, I went to an office supply store with a very large inventory of floor models of every conceivable style of office, gaming and workstation chair I could imagine. I knew I needed one without arms or that the arms were retractable, and that I needed back support and a comfortable seat. This one meets all of those criteria (no arms) and it is quite sturdy. Super easy to put together. I'm about six foot and 190, and it supports me well and the height adjustment is pretty useful. The only slight negative is that the seat is a bit firmer than I'd like - it's of generous diameter but it doesn't cushion my rear quite as comfortable as I'd hoped. However, after sitting and playing a few minutes, I get used to it and it feels just fine - and actually, the somewhat firmer seat is likely to hold up much better over time. And of all the others I've tried of this style seat, it's as comfortable as any I tried. The back support is adequate. And this chair cost a third of others I've looked at - and is $50 less than another top rated one on Amazon. I also bought a guitar players foot rest (from Amazon / $14: Tetra-Teknica Essentials Series GFR-01 6-Position Height Adjustable Guitar Foot Rest). And the combination of the seat and the foot rest provides exactly the comfort, positioning, and back support I was looking for, because, together, they provide back support and proper posture and good positioning for playing. Thing is, a chair preference - especially for a musician's use - is a very subjective thing. And you'll just never find the perfect guitar chair. Everyone is built differently, as is their guitar, and so how you adjust the seat, how you hold your instrument, whatever level of back support you need - these variables are often going to vary considerably between individuals and their body types. So, while ordinarily, I'd want to buy something like this in-person, to try out. But at this price point, and not seeing a better option locally, I took a chance. Overall, I'm quite pleased - especially as the cost is exceptionally reasonable.
