Hennaplus Colour Powder Super Red 55

I would have given this five stars if it had made a significant difference to the colour of my hair. Otherwise this henna powder is nice and fine, it mixes up very smoothly and goes on a treat. I would have expected 'Super Red' to actually be rather a strong red but as a long time user of henna powders this made little or no difference to my hair colour. It has the usual instructions for mixing and they say to apply soon after mixing (ie when cooled enough). There is a different brand which I have discovered recently which is hard to get hold of which recommends leaving the mix for an hour to mature before applying to your hair. This brand did make a good change in the colour of my hair. It also suggests adding plain yogurt to that brand which I think affects the acidity. I would sum this up by saying that Hennaplus Colour Powder Super Red mixes smoothly, is easy to apply but fairly ineffective colourwise.

I was looking for an alternative to Daniel Field. This stuff didn't even touch my dark blonde hair colour after two hours wearing it after following instructions to the letter. It also left my hair dry which is really odd for henna. I would seriously avoid this in future.

I use Lush henna regularly, but wanted something powdered for ease of use. This was incredibly easy to mix and apply, but that where it ended really. It said it worked much quicker, but after leaving it on the maximum it recommended, my hair showed almost no change. I have typical british light mouse brown hair, which usually take colur very well, but this hardly touched it. Its fine if all you want is a gentle glow, but if you actually want copper hair, then I would go for something else.
