Confortable and easy to put
This belt is sturdy, yet comfortable and easy to put on and off. It is easy to balance weight and since lead bags are inside zipper-closed bags they always remain in the same spot. It is also easy to add or remove weight (soft mesh lead shot weights). A friend of mine and a diving companion has had one for more than ten years and once I used it and I fell in love with it, so I bought the exact same model. I recommend it.

Choosing the right size of a Pocket Weight Belt
Searching for a pocket weight belt for an upcoming dive trip I found the sizing information provided difficult to understand. There was no discussion about how to properly fit a weight belt. Ideally, the weight belt should wrap around your body with the two pockets on either end of the belt resting in front of your hip bones. See attached picture. This distributes the weight more evenly around your body and will be much more comfortable in the water. You don’t want all of the weight on your back. The other question you will need to answer is how much weight you will need, this will vary with your experience, the thickness of your suit and if you are diving in fresh or salt water. I wear a size medium in my wetsuit, I have a 34” waist (measured with a cloth tape measure, not the sizing of your pants) with a 3mm wet suit my waist is 35” and 36” for a 5mm wet suit. I estimate I will be 37”+ with my drysuit. I use 7 lbs. for my 3mm suit, 10 lbs. for my 5mm suit and will use between 25-30 lbs. in my drysuit (depending on undergarment used). The 6 pocket weight belt allows me to accommodate all of my sizing and weight requirements. Keep in mind the more weight you add in the pockets the shorter the length between the edges of the pockets will be. You will also need a minimum length of 4 inches between the edges of the weight belt to accommodate the buckle. I have provided the following table to Illustrate. Hopefully, this will help you choose the right size.Size Weights Length of weight pockets Belt ends Buckle5 Pocket empty 28" 10" 2.75"5 Pocket 25 lb 26.5" 10" 2.75"6 Pocket Empty 33.5" 12" 2.75"6 Pocket 30 lbs 31.75 12" 2.75"First impression of this weight belt, is that the quality is OK, there is some stitching loose inside the pockets, and the zipper seems to have some issues when the belt is full of weights. I had to roll in the edge of the zipper to get it to close. I would give it 3 stars for quality but 4 stars for the value.

High quality product at a good price.
High quality belt. Strong nylon material and metal buckle which is reliable and simple to use. Good piece of gear for the price, which is much lower than my local scuba shop had to offer.

Purchased this primarily for the stainless steel buckle. It is difficult to thread the belt into the buckle underwater with weight in the belt and impossible with gloves on. Stitching is weak and one of the pockets has given out after first use.

Good weight belts but the pockets are not suitable for extra gear
The belt has a very nice buckle and strong belt webbing that can be trimmed to length easily if desired. I use two different belts, this one and a different design. What I dislike about this belt is that it only has one zipper, so you open it just a few inches to get to the first pocket but need to open it all around for the last pocket. You can't really use the both front pockets to carry gear as you can only open one easily or all at once. And easy is relative, most our dives require gloves and the zipper tab is rather small. However this can be fixed as the tab has a hole that allows you to put a piece of string on it to operate it easier with gloves. Everything but the buckle is black, would be nice to have a bright color for the 2 accessory hooks and the zipper. My preferred belt has 5 individual pockets that close with a large Velcro tab each. Easy to operate with gloves, easy to use for gear or trash found under water. Consider this Scuba Max belt for exactly what the item title says: a weight belt. Put your weights in it when prepping and dive, don't try to manipulate the pockets with gloves while under water.Plus: great buckle, soft but strong belt webbing, one ring and one clip to attach itemsMinus: one zipper all around, small zipper tab, everything is black
