I recently bought this ice collar to help with my Tonsillectomy post op recovery, and let me tell you I am very very very happy that I did! The texture is very moveable, and super satisfying to squish, while also remaining flexible when frozen to give you that full luxurious ice pack quality while having a removable/movable velcro strap to firmly hold or loosen wherever you chose to use the ice collar on your body. The minute I came home from surgery I wore it in increments of 15-20 minutes and by that time, the collar has already warmed up, giving you optimal timing when icing on/off. It takes the jelly in the collar about 30 minutes at the top of my freezer (bottom of the freezer creates a shorter wait time to about 15-20 minutes) to get it super cool and ready for use :) 9/10 stars only because I wish the plastic FREEZER BAG the collar came with were like 1cm- 2cm longer at the opening because it’s hard to stuff/take out the collar from a smaller bag ESPECIALLY if it’s frozen. Every time I spend a solid 2 or more minutes trying to get it into this little bag to prevent freezer burn, food spills, and smells from seeping into it… and because it warms after 20 minutes, you start to realize just how much time you spend battling this little bag while in pain.Over all, amazing product, I’m so glad I did the research and would recommend this product for everyone who’s looking for a solid, affordable, flexible, and soft ice pack :)

I bought 2 of these for icing my neck after a partial thyroidectomy. I highly recommend it because it is soft on the incision, and you can choose to Velcro it on so you can move around while icing. So much better than trying to put a bag of ice on it and better than a heavy frozen gel bag. Nothing pokes the incision. You are only supposed to ice for 15-20 mins at a time and this product stays plenty cold enough to do that. If you want it close longer, this isn’t the product for you.It also comes in a zip lock bag so you can protect it from getting food on it while in the freezer.Never leaked on me. Great quality. No funny smells. Very flexible to fit anyone’s neck. I’m a large person and it fit my neck with lots of rein to spare. Shaped perfectly to fit the neck.

This is another case where I felt I should not splurge on something that something else is already doing a good enough job at. We have a few reusable ice packs already and they are good, however, I have a rather new issue since some trauma happen, my face gets red. Any time I am at all upset, much like a cartoon character, my face gets red hot and hurts for hours. If this happens too much my face might actually stay red. So one of the things the doctor has me do is use ice packs to help cool my blood down. Putting the ice on the back of my neck was helpful but the ice packs we had would just slip off or require me to sit still. I was looking for another ice pack not thinking there was much of a solution to my issue till I saw this on amazon. I didn't want to get it, I admit it. I thought that I would be the only one in the house that would use it and that felt a bit selfish for some reason. (I know, mom issues) But husband insisted we get it and he was right. Not only does it help with my painful red face, it lets me move around and it doesn't slip off. It also helps everyone with headaches, It has one side that is one of the coldest ice packs I have ever felt and then a softer side that is not as cold. The colder side is the side it is intended to be used but really you can use either. It stays cool for a long while. It is simply put, the right tool for the job. I hope you feel better soon too.

I had thyroid surgery. I used it as a cold wrap, after the 3 days. It gets very cold at first, (I used a tissue between my skin and product) then it stays cool for a good while. It is a bit heavy, you have to strap it properly then it is good. It acted like a vise so I wouldn't scrunch my neck down. I actually used it when I slept, so I could sleep on my side. Once I was comfortable, I didn't move and slept for 5 hours! This product was a great choice for what I needed. It makes your whole neck feel Loved

These ice packs are the best. We love how cold they get. We have never used them for heat pads but the flexibility and comfort are great. There’s no weird smells and the size even works for my 8 year old who has TSW and wears them longer than she should. For this reason we have to replace them every 3-6 months because her skin oozes and it says not to get them wet or chemicals come out but we haven’t noticed any reactions and her skin is completely broken. The only thing I wish they would update is making an extra washable sleeve with it for people who use it with TSW so their skin cells and flakes don’t soak into the gel layers. Also my daughter complains after 6 months that the Velcro doesn’t stick as well and it’s very hard to clean becauee it’s the new style Velcro. I still give it 5 stars because we haven’t found another close to this and it’s versatile so I can use it on her arm if needed as well. I pay the price for them because we have to have them

I love the idea of this ice pack and have two as I have 3 herniations in my neck and I really need ice to help with the inflammation from the injuries. The problem for me is that the elastic velcro strap gets overstretched quickly and so I end up having to wrap it around my entire neck and now the Velcro doesn’t always hold. I don’t want to return them because I like having the ice snug around my neck, but I may have to in the next several days if it doesn’t hold any longer. We shall see…
