InvictaMen's 1771 Pro Diver Collection Chronograph Watch

VERY Nice Watch
This watch presents as beautiful, durable, stylish and much more expensive than it is - from a distance. The blue and red "Pepsi" bezel looks darker and better than pictured and the numerals are silver. It takes some other styling cues from the Rolex GMT- Master II but because the bezel has diver elapsed-time numbers instead of the 24 hour setup of the GMT II and it's a chronograph this watch doesn't seem to try to be a Rolex clone which is probably why it doesn't have Invicta stamped on the side of the case. The screw down crown and pushers look excellent and work well, as does the chronograph movement. The VD55B Caliber movement is very accurate, it hasn't gained or lost any time since it was set (two weeks ago). The band is thick with solid durable links (except the end link) and the double clasp works well. It was quite easy to remove excess links and wears comfortably, especially for such a big and heavy watch. My only gripe with this watch is the second hand. It sweeps haltingly and irregularly, and fails to align with half of the minute marks as it tracks around the watch face. To me this makes the movement appear cheap and brings down the value of the watch when viewed up close. Still, it's not a Tag and for under $80, overall this is a VERY attractive chronograph that is solid and waterproof to 200 meters and is absolutely worth having.

Sharp looking and accurate timepiece!
This watch is definitely a looker. I've had numerous folks compliment it and some even ask if it's one of "the brand made in Switzerland." In addition to its outer looks the mechanism itself is tops. It has a screw-down crown AND the stopwatch buttons, too, are screw-down. I set (hacked) the watch to both my iPhone and an atomic wall clock. This watch runs an average of minus-8 seconds over a week's period which, in my book, is not bad at all. The bracelet is solid; it was slightly large for me so I took out a single link and the fit is perfect. I miss not having a date feature on the face but I knew that when I bought it. Summary? A really nice looking watch that functions very well. For the money you cannot do better.

Looks Amazing for the price
I remember back in the day when I was a kid and the original "Pepsi" watches (Red/blue bezel) were a "thing". So, on a whim I ordered this modern take on the classic design and I am very impressed. This is the first Invicta watch I have owned I've been wearing a Citizen for about a decade and wanted a change. This is far better than I expected for the price. No, it doesn't have the day/date feature but honestly, they always end up wrong due to differing lengths of the months and are a pain to get correct again anyway. It looks and feels substantial with a well made band and latch. The Bezel rotates with strong click/detents and seems like it would be difficult to move inadvertently. The screw down crown & buttons operate smoothly. The effectiveness of the luminous hands/markers seems on par with other glow in the dark watches I have had over the years and overall it just seems very well put together and looks and feels way more expensive than it is.

Very Satisfied
I have had this watch for over two months now and have nothing but good things to say about it. Watch looks better in person than in the pictures. First day I was wearing it the face of the dial slammed against the corner of a kitchen counter top, no damage. Then today at work, standing on a ladder the watch slipped out of my pocket and fell over 20ft onto hard tile flooring. Only thing that happened was spring lugs disconnected from the band, which took me about 20 seconds to put back together. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase. This is my second Invicta and I’m looking forward to more!

Delivers in every way.
1. Size: In this fad-crazed day of over-sized pieces, this case is just right. It's substantial enough to look-up-to date, but not so huge as to be cartoonish. I'm 6'-0" and 185, and frankly I think anything over 45mm wide and 13mm looks like I'm about 10 years old and trying to wear one of Daddy's watches. At 44mm wide and 12mm tall, this watch is hefty without being stupid. I ordered a Reserve 1543, which is a gorgeous timepiece, but at 47.5mm wide and 15.25mm tall, it's like wearing a lead pie-plate on your wrist, so I sent it back and got two of these instead. Great move. I have a Stuhrling Targa Pro at 48 and 15, and though it's visually stunning (a perfect Breitling Bentley knockoff) I rarely wear the thing because it's just too big.2. Readability: I've always gravitated to diver-style watches because the hands and indexes are usually well-sized and clearly readable in the best and worst of lighting conditions. The other Invictas I've owned have performed well in the dark hours, and these are no exception. Nice big markers and the hour hand and sweep second are easy to see. The minute hand is a little thin for my tastes, but by contrast in shape to the others is still easy enough to read.3. Bracelet: Classic, substantial and comfortable. The links are easily removed and added for correct sizing; sometimes the pins are absurdly tight - these are tight enough to be very secure, but are still easily removed to change the overall length. The clasp is solid and closes tightly and gives plenty of confidence.4. Functionality: The chronometer functions certainly work, but frankly they are secondary to the mission. For the stopwatch function to be really useful, the sweep second hand should really be the prime indicator, instead of the top subdial. Who cares? The little dial works well enough for incidental use, and having a real sweep second hand is frankly more useful for everyday use. The bezel is very smooth to operate, but still solidly ratcheted. The only shortcoming I have to throw in here is that, as others have posted, it really ought to have a screw-down crown. I swim, snorkel and sweat with my other Invictas on and have never had an issue, so I don't imagine I'll have any issues with these, but still, a 200m watch should have a screw-down crown. The watch is a winner, and for the price (anywhere under $100), it's a knockout. I only wish Invicta were still making it, and they could add a few more color-ways to the lineup. I'd have been ready to buy a black/green, blue/green, black/orange and blue/orange as well, and maybe some yellows too!
