Good Solid Meter, Good price, instructions sparse, but workable
I bought this meter for brewing beer. When I received the meter I calibrated it per the admittedly sparse instructions and it appeared to calibrate correctly so I went ahead with my brew day and did a mash pH check about 20 minutes into the mash (room temp mash). The reading was a bit more acidic than I had expected so I wondered if the calibration was completed correctly. After brewing I tested the meter on some tap water, distilled water, and RO water. The distilled water reading was neutral (6.9-7), but the RO and tap readings were both more alkaline than I had expected (8.9-9.5). I thought there must be an issue either with the meter or the calibration, but I knew I had an annual RO maintenance check up soon so I when the tech came I asked him to do a pH reading on the tap and RO water - his readings matched the meter!Point is, the meter was accurate and easy to calibrate, but the instructions were so sparse that I was never really sure if it was done right until I had a separate confirmation. If I could do half stars I might ding this meter a bit for weak instruction. Since I can't I'll leave it at 5 because the meter is easy to use. The instructions can be followed (they are all pictures), and if you follow them you'll be fine. But I would like a little more explanation of the steps and potential readings if the instructions ever get re-done. However, for the price this is a solid and versatile meter and will serve my purposes well. One thing to note, the readings are not instant. Place the meter in the solution and gently stir it while the reading is moving up or down. It will eventually stop, but usually move again ( a little) if you stir it more. Just don't expect an instant reading. Also, buy some storage solution and extra calibration packets. They are also inexpensive and you are going to want them. The meter comes with enough for a couple of calibrations, but over the years you will want more.Oh yeah and the beer came out fine.

Good meter at a reasonable price
This is my initial review of the INKBIRDPLUS pH Meter. I will update this after I've used it a few more times. The pH meter is easy to use, easy to read, and easy to calibrate. Although the instructions don't specifically say so, I assumed that it should be calibrated before first use. Calibration was quick and simple; almost foolproof. Once the calibration buffers are ready it's just a matter of putting the probe in each one, pressing the calibration button for three seconds, and waiting until the display stops blinking. After calibrating, I turned the meter off for several minutes and then checked the pH of the calibration buffers again. The readings stabilized quickly and were spot on. Time will tell if the calibration remains stable or drifts over time.I will offer a few suggestions: First, note that while the pH 6.86 powder dissolved almost instantly, the 4.00 and 9.18 buffers take a little time and some fairly vigorous mixing; so you will have to be patient. Second, save or take a photo of the back of one of the buffer envelopes; the temperature corrections are good to have and are not included in the instructions. Third, it's probably smart to rinse the probe off between samples to avoid cross-contaminating things and/or getting inaccurate readings. As i said, I will update this review once I have more experience with the meter. I can't comment on the TDS or EC meter functions yet, since I don't have the calibration solutions for those.

Didnt Hold Up Look at Something Else
I liked this tester and was really hoping it would work :(, I don't use it everyday, about once a week and it was ok but something was off, I realize the test was odd the TDS seem to be reading 4 every time.I found that strange so I tested water at different points of my RO System and it everything was 4 even water from the main which i knew could never be 4.I calibrated it with the solution and nothing same reading, I then borrowed a friend meter which went red immediately on the water main and red 8 on my tap water.I bought this recently so i didnt expect it to die already .So I would warn think twice before buying this one.

This PH Meter is worth the money!
This Digital pH Meter is an affordable and useful tool for anybody who needs a pH tester for household or hydroponic use. This digital pH Meter is highly accurate for measuring a range of 0-14 pH with 0.1 pH resolution. Also, you’re able to measure and display pH results simultaneously with an LCD display for reliable and quick reading. To use, simply remove the protective cap and immerse the pH meter electrode in the solution and turn to use the ON/OFF switch to measure. This is much easier than squinting to see the colors of a litmus strip. The Digital PH Meter has an auto temperature compensation feature that adjusts to the water temperatures and quality to give instant pH readings. Additionally, you can calibrate this tester using buffing powder and the one-touch button.Included in your purchase is a detailed manual that will show you how to get the best accurate and stable readings. You’ll also receive 3x pH buffer powders and 2x 1.5V LR44 button cells.I have purchased Inkbird products in the past and they always deliver excellent results.
