Some of the best binoculars you will find.
I bought a pair of Bushnell 8x42 just over 2 years ago. I had a cheap pair before them to see if I enjoyed nature watching long term (I did, and do) and I picked them because my father in law had a 10 year old pair of Bushnells. Since then I have tried other pairs of binoculars in the price range and higher, Hawke, Opticron, Nikon, Zeiss etc..., Done probably too much research into others, bought the 10x50 version and, in my opinion, you cannot do better than this range of binoculars. I prefer porro prism binoculars. Certainly in this price range they give you more bang for you buck as they don't need the coatings on the prism that roof prism binoculars need to achieve the same clarity, but in any price range they provide better depth of field due to the objective lenses being further apart (a friend likened it to his 3d tv, which is a little redundant but a very good way to illustrate it). The downside is the weight, but if you get a good wide strap then you don't notice it as much. I won't sugar coat it, the 8x42 tip the scales at around 870g and the 10x50 are in the high 900, but if you look around you can shave off a hundred grams of so, but in my experience you are paying around a pound per gram or two saved. It might be worth it for you, it isn't for me. The other benefits of these binoculars include a nearly unparalleled field of view. The 8x42 is 430ft at 1000 yards (143m at 1000m) which is amazing for any price of any binocular, which is important for birdwatching and nature viewing as it aids funding what you are looking for and keeping it in view. The 10 magnification FOB is smaller at 341ft at 1000yds ( 114m at 1000m) but this is always true of higher magnification and is still brilliant and significantly better than others at significantly higher prices. These two magnifications are also fully waterproof and nitrogen filled meaning no internal fogging in changing temperatures and no problems in the rain, which it does in the great British outdoors a fair bit. (Quick word of warning, the 12-22x50 zoom pair is not waterproof, although it is weather resistant, whatever that means in real life) The build quality is also brilliant, a fact that let down my only non Bushnell, more expensive, roof prism binoculars. The twist up eye cups are great too as I always have them twisted down as I wear glasses. It means I don't have to fold the eye cups down every time I want to use them and then fold them up to use the rain guard, which has caused my father in law's to crack (although they are 10 years old). Bottom line, I love these binoculars and have done the whole time I have owned a set. The fact that I bought the different magnification in the same range is testament to that. I like the fact that I know they are better than most other people's binoculars and are generally always the cheapest there, but I love going out and connecting with nature knowing my binoculars are dependable and will deliver an outstanding view day after day, week after week, year after year. The only real decision to make is 8x or 10x.... Happy watching!

Amazing quality bright and sharp binoculars.
Amazing pair of binoculars. Very sharp and surprisingly bright which makes it possible to see even in darker conditions. The moon also looks amazing through it very clear and with sharp contrasty details. (Stars are not smudged and sharp as well, and so does night lights in the distance) Chromatic aberration nearly non existing while watching the moon, only tiny tiny barely visible yellow/green around the moon at certain angles. Seriously barely visible and difficult to notice and no aberration on craters etc. Daytime never observed any chromatic aberration. And really surprised that 10x50 can be as bright. Watched flying barn owl the other day and it was really a great experience as it seemed like I would not see the owl as clear and sharp with my own eyes even if somehow I would be able to get close to her. Would recommend this binoculars to anyone and for the price I think they are amazing value.

Bushnell Legacy WP 10x50. Great binoculars.
I'm no expert on binoculars, but I did a little research and chose these over many other cheaper options. I chose them specifically for the better quality BAK4 prisms as opposed to BAK7 and porro prism instead of Roof prism as they let more light in. I also went for the 10x magnification and I'm glad I did. (I have a small pair of 7x21 binoculars for their portability, but the Bushnells absolutely out perform them) These binoculars give very bright, sharp images and feel solid (but not too heavy in the hands) They are great for general purpose use , bird watching, marine use etc. They come with a soft bag, neck strap and lens caps for both ends. For me they were well worth the money.

Quality porro's
Bushnell can be very proud of producing such great quality binoculars at this price point because the image quality , quality of manufacture and design are spot on with this pair . I'm a keen birder with a vast collection ( way to many actually ) of binoculars from all the major manufactures ( over 30 pairs ) but Bushnell are the first brand to pull off delivering a pair to me that are utterly clean up in opening . No risky lens cleaning upon opening with the pair I got and to be honest they match roof prism binoculars I've got costing three times the price image wise . The only downside is that are quite bulky compared to roof prisms and not so hipster at the local bird club if your worried about such things . Personally I love every design of binocular so would certainly recommend these to anyone looking for ace image quality at a great price . Honestly they are fantastic at this price so if your pondering on some ponder no longer as you'll certainly not regret your purchase . They also work superbly if you wear glasses like me which is something nikon can't say about the aculon range . Also worth considering are the olympus exps1 porro's in 8x42 or 10x42 if you want great bins but slightly smaller that work with specticles . Those are fantastic to but the trade off is none waterproofing like these Bushnells so that's something to be aware of . I got both to trial and can't separate them so will be adding both to my collect . Truly great binoculars !

Well built
Lots of people told me not to buy zoom binoculars, so I went ahead and bought these because they was more to what I was after. I would recommend these to anyone they are clear and bright and well built. After showing them to someone who preferred non zoom even they where impressed with them, so go ahead and get a pair.

Formerly the Baush & Lomb 10x50 Legacy binocular now under the Bushnell brand name and now waterproof. The image quality is top notch a little heavy but this is because these are high quality binoculars, no problem for me. Back in the day the B&L legacy where regarded as one of the best binoculars in its class and now under the Bushnell brand name they dont dissapoint. The focuser wheel is very good, they have a tripod screw hole and are Nitrogen filled waterproofed. They have a nice feeling to the touch rubber armor that protects the binocular. They came with a soft case and a basic bino strap that I replaced with an Optech USA one. I bought them on amazon warehouse on "good" condition but they came Like new in their original box. I highly recommend this binocular for their high quiality optics and excelent price.
