I bought one of these for my mother who, sadly, is in the early stages of dementia. Her short-term memory has almost gone so she never knew what day it was.Initially, she did not like this strange "clock" but I think that was a symptomatic reaction to anything new. After a week or so she tolerated it. She has now had it for more than a year and told me recently that she loves it and that all her visitors admire it (the latter might be an exaggeration but is a good sign from her).I am delighted as it is one of the few things I've been able to do that has made a positive difference to mum. She now trusts the clock and sneaks a look at it when asked what day/month etc it is. Mum also has occasional periods of confusion and the clock has been unplugged sometimes during these periods. It must have an internal battery since it duly resets itself correctly once plugged-in again. This means that mum never has to touch the controls; in fact, in more than a year of use, I've only touched it once myself, just to correct about a 2 minute drift in its timekeeping. We haven't seen a leap year yet but it has correctly changed day, month and year without fail.For someone suffering memory problems, this is a great asset. My experience just suggests that you may have to persevere in getting their initial acceptance.

I purchased this for my 92 year old gramps who suffers from memory problems. He used to spend the whole day asking my nan the day, date or time but not any more.The display is very clear, it stands up well on his cabinet and he loves the fact that it not only tells the day, date and time but also the part of the day, i.e. morning, afternoon, evening.He would highly recommend this product to everyone.

Stopped working after 6 weeks. This is a glorified bedside alarm/clock, selling at double the cost because of the dementia label. Poor quality cheap plastic & very tricky to initially set up. Seller promised they would provide a replacement for the faulty original, but this never happened. They then ignored all further communications so it was impossible to get a refund.

I brought this for my mother who has Alzheimer, whenever she asks me what day or time it is, I just point to the clock and this problem is solved, I no longer have to repetitively explain what month, day or time it is which can be confusing for my mother.

Bought this for my granda as he can get confused about the day and whether its AM or PM, especially after an afternoon nap. This clock has definitely helped. Great product for a great price. Easy to install simply plug in and time, date and day was already set. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an easy to read clock with day, date and AM or PM.

My mother-in-law has difficulty knowing what day it is. We bought her this clock and it has really helped reduce her confusion - she is really pleased with it.

Wonderful clock, my mum has dementia, hence the reason I bought it. She now checks the day by this, instead of asking my dad umpteen times a day . Would highly recommend.

Great service and delivery. Good product, my mum was reluctant to have one but then found it very helpful. Shame it cost so much, very basic electronics, only costs so much because its for a selective market.
