Affordable Skincare Supplement
These capsules are small and easy to swallow. They do not have a strong odor or taste. I have not noticed any side effects and can take these on an empty stomach. I typically take 1 - 2 capsules a day. I like to take 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening (if I remember). I feel like my skin is softer and smoother, but have not noticed any improvement in wrinkles. According to the vendor, this supplement can improve the look of fine lines, crow’s feet, sun damage, and dark circles. I am optimistic that, with regular use, this supplement will continue to improve the look and feel of my skin.I am in my 40s and do worry more about wrinkles. I have heard good things about phytoceramides and this supplement is very affordable for a 3-month supply. Ceramides are supposed to enhance skin and reduce wrinkles and this supplement uses phytoceramides from sweet potatoes and brown rice. I feel like the ingredients are good quality and I like that they come from a natural source. You receive 1 jar with 180 capsules inside. The recommended serving size is 2 capsules so this is a 90-day supply. The jar is not child safe.

Good Value
This bottle of Phytoceramide Supplement by Heart Vitamins is a good value. I have been using this supplement for a month and a half. I like the idea of getting some of the nutrients of Sweet Potato and brown rice without eating them due to the carbs. I have not noticed any difference in my skin since taking these with no other changes in my daily regimen. I would like to know if the proprietary blend has anything in it other than sweet potato and brown rice. I will finish the bottle in case I am getting some unseen benefits from the listed ingredients. These supplements will do you no harm and may even create noticeable benefits in other people.

starting with 1 pill a day can be a way to start this road to glowing skin
Ceramides are supposed to enhance skin and reduce wrinkles. I decided to try these capsules because ‘phyto’ ceramides come from plants (in this case, sweet potatoes and brown rice). The capsules are small — easy to swallow —and have very little odor. They are neatly packaged in an attractive sealed container. The container itself does not list the approvals (FDA, GMP) or other claims (non-GMO, made in the USA) posted in the listing, perhaps to keep the label streamlined and less busy looking. I tried to find out more about the brand or manufacturer, but I couldn’t find much and the URL printed on the package leads to the message “Sorry, this shop is currently unavailable.” I do wish there were more information available. I started with only one capsule per day because I always need to ramp up a new medication or supplement slowly and because my research suggests that one capsule providing 350mg should be more than enough. Of course, taking only one capsule a day may mean it will take longer for the good effects to be seen. As yet, I cannot judge whether they improve my skin. But they have not done anything negative, so I’ll keep taking them, hoping to see enhanced skin in a month or so.

iHeart Phytoceramides
As I age I worry about my skin and am constantly on the lookout for the things I can do to take care of it so it will look good longer. I have a pretty robust skin care regimen and I put collagen in my tea every morning. When I heard about Phytoceramides and how they're "a facelift in a bottle" I decided to give them a try. Now, I'm skeptical about that claim, I don't really think they will replace surgical intervention but since I'm not willing to go that route this is going to be as good as it gets. After about a week's use and maybe this is my imagination but I feel as though some of the fine lines that were forming around my mouth are a little less visible. This could be just wishful thinking and supposedly it takes about twice as long to really start seeing results so I'm going to continue with my phytoceramide journey and see how I look and feel in a month's time. The capsules are of an average size, are easy to swallow, don't have any weird aftertaste, and haven't upset my stomach at all.

Not much difference
The only changes I saw after taking this for a few weeks was getting more ingrown hairs and pimples on my face, chest and stomach than I ever have… and I’m far from my teenage years. I didn't see any other clear difference in the look or feel of any part of my skin or nails. My issues aside, they are easy to swallow, have no flavor and are inexpensive for a 90 day supply.

May Be Worthwhile
So, it doesn't seem like there's a tremendous amount of research behind orally administered phytoceramides. One of the only studies I could find seemed to be evaluating a plant-derived ceramide, but didn't ever refer to it as a phytoceramide. Rather, it was referred to as a hydroalcoholic extract of this plant, providing glycosylceramides. I don't know that every phytoceramide is created equal, if some can be extracted and standardized in specific ways, while others are not. That study concluded that skin dryness, hyperpigmentation, redness, itching, and oilyness could be reduced by their specific orally administered ceramide, over the course of 6 weeks. It could be that this iHeart brand phytoceramide may provide similar benefits, over a similar timeframe. There is hypothetically a 12-week supply in one bottle, so one bottle should allow you to discover whether or not it will work for you. I will remain cautiously optimistic.
