Snuggle the Baby: An Interactive Board Book

Cute book
Very cute book! I bought it for my 4 year old who is about to be a big brother. I love that it's also an activity book. You can take the bottle out to feed the baby, and swaddle the baby. My son especially liked lifting the baby's short to tickle her tummy. (I made laughing sounds when he tickled her). I took off one star because of the diaper page. It's a one time use thing. It's was just weird. I put some fabric on the sticky part to lose some of its stickiness so the onesie can be "snapped" back again but Velcro would have been better. That page wasn't well thought out. But I would still recommend. It's very cute, and the illustrations are darling. I don't know why some are upset about the bottle. Most breastfed babies are giving bottles at times. That's why most of us pump. Not a big deal. if you are EBF, your child is seeing that in the home and that's what will leave an impression to normalize breastfeeding. A bottle in a book isn't going to change what s/he thinks is normal. Normal for them is whatever mommy does.

Sweet adorable book! Lots of fun
I got this as a distraction toy for a 2 hour flight plus as something new and fun to read while we were on vacation. My 2 year old girl loved that the baby came out of the book and that she could hold and even pretend to feed it! As expected, she has ripped some of it (she sucks at not tearing up her books because, 2 year old lol) so I’ll probably have to buy it again someday but I don’t mind! This would be a great book to help teach a kiddo about becoming an older sibling to a new baby brother or sister!

missing baby is not missing
LOVE this book! Sent it back the first time because I thought the missing baby was a defect. but then the second book came with a missing baby too and I then realized it is not actually missing, but rather to be placed on either page that it fits. This is such a sweet, fun, interactive book. We love it!!!

Perfect for our 2-year old who is struggling with the new baby
I bought this book on a complete whim and a prayer. Our 2.5 year old has really been struggling to adjust to life with our new baby. This book is wonderful!! It gives us something to discuss hands-on and then she can mimic/mirror with her baby from the book. She loves feeding the swaddled baby in the book. This is so perfect for a 2-2.5 year old. If I could get another bottle though, she kind of mangled it by chewing on it.This will become a routine gift for friends having a second child. Love it so much.

cute book but probably for 2yrs and up.
I think this book is really cute. I bought it for my 15 month old who will be getting a baby brother when she is 20 months. The book could be a little more durable. I may wait and give it to her for christmas when she is 2. Some of the pages seem like they could rip easily (The arms of the baby that go up and down). I also do not like that where you "change the baby diaper" if you put the piece of paper back on the wrong way it gets stuck and will rip. I was the one to put it on the wrong way without even paying attention so I can only imagine a toddler will do the same. Other than those cons, I love that it is an interactive book. It is very cute and I think she will have fun with it but I will wait till she gets a little older.

Darling book, could be a little more durable
My 13 mo. old daughter LOVES this book so much. She wants us to read it to her over and over. She loves pulling out the bottle and the baby and is gentle with those two pieces, but she has ripped the arms off the baby in the book and pulled the onesie flap off a couple of times. I re-glue them, but they only last a week or so. I just wish the parts in this book were a little more durable-- like maybe the lift up arms on the baby should attach with grommets instead of being just lightly glued on. I'm trying to teach my daughter to be more gentle, but she can't help it and it will take time. In the meantime, I just try to watch her closely when we read this together.

Great for first time big bro/sis
Bought this to help ease the transition from being an only child to a big brother. This is 1 out of 3 big brother books I bought and is the only one he asks for. Each page is interactive and simple enough for my 3 year old to do. He likes that he can lift some flaps, take a bottle to "feed" the baby and take the baby out to snuggle with. I feel that it does prepare him somewhat on what his big brother duties will be like as my little helper and what he can do with a new baby.

Sara Gilligham has done it again!!
This book is lovely. But I’m not surprised because It is by Sara Gilligham. I had feared that the removable pieces in this interactive book would get lost or damaged but my 2 year old daughter cherishes this book so much that the pieces are still holding up great and haven’t been lost though they have been thoroughly played with and even sucked on when I wasn’t looking. This book is perfect for a child preparing for a new sibling! I highly highly recommend it. And I mean, the color scheme?! It’s just perfect! If you don’t already love Sara Gilligham, you will after you get this book.

Sweet retro illustrations and a hit with my two-year-old
A lovely, high quality board book with very cute retro graphics. On each page, your child can interact with the baby in the book in some way - waving their arms, feeding them with a cut-out bottle, wrapping a blanket over them. The book has about 6 double sided pages, with one side pictures and one side an activity. My just-turned-2 year old loved the book, after 5 minutes to get the idea. There are some design changes I would tweak if possible, such as the swaddle wings only fold inwards in one way (if you put left over right for example it doesn't fit) and as another commenter said it would be better if the baby didn't have to 'jump' between the last two pages; but overall it's a very sweet book.

Went down well!
My 2 yr old daughter loved the interaction with this book. Some pages more fun than others and easy to say Nappy instead of diaper when reading it if not US based. Good quality and nice colours and style of design too.

Lovely book.
Lovely book. Great book if you are expecting another child and want to introduce the idea to a little one. Nicely made and nice little cut outs that you can slot out and play with and slot back in again. Would recommend.

Nice but not really about small babies
A nice book, easy to hold and turn pages. However, in my opinion, it explains baby's behavior from 6m onwards. Not sure whether a 2yo will really understand the book is about babies!

Cute!
My 5 year old was bought this book when her baby sister arrived and she loves it. Very playful little book, lots of sweet details and the illustration is gorgeous.
