Best iPhone 5/5s battery case for Protection & Charge
I've tried a number of iphone 5/5s charge cases. This includes the Otterbox Resurgence (horrible, see product review here OtterBox Resurgence Power/Battery Case for Apple iPhone 5s - Retail Packaging - BLACK (BLACK/BLACK) ) and the Unu DX (Horrible, see product review here iPhone 5s Battery case , iPhone 5 Battery case , UNU DX-5 iPhone 5/5S Charger Case [Black] (Gen 2) - MFI Certified 2300mAh Charger Protective iPhone 5/5S Charging Case / Power Juice Bank Battery Pack )This being said about the other cases, you can see that I've gone through my fair share of charge cases. While each did have a positive and many negatives (no pun intended), this is the best case I've found by far. Lets review why.ProtectionFirst off, this case will PROTECT your phone. UNU's case failed to do so, and even falsely advertises that it does. Otterbox's case was a good protecting case as well. The thing that makes this case a good protecting case is that it has bumpers, which UNU's case did not have. Your phone is flush with the case, so if it falls there are no bumpers to protect your edges, or the front of the phone. Now this is where the otterbox shined, as their bumpers fit the phone perfectly. Belkin's case is fairly loose, and could absolutely have been more form fitted to the phone, but I don't worry about the phone slipping out and I know that it is protected should it fall. All in all:Belkin & Otterbox= Good protectionUnu= NO PROTECTION.Next category, case construction.Belkin's case is plastic with some rubber on the side for grip. This allows the case to be gripped and held, and the phone will not slide out of your hand. Otterbox also had a decent grip...however the construction of the case was faulty. This is the reason I returned the Otterbox case...Let me explain. The way the Otterbox and Belkin cases are constructed here are that you have built-on-the-case buttons for volume & power. This allows you to easily press the button and control whatever it is, without having to dig your fingers in a hole to do so (which is what UNUs case had, and another reason I hated it). The Otterbox failed here though in case construction, for when you pressed the volume button, you had no idea what the case would do since the volume buttons were connected. Also, you can hold this case without it slipping. UNU's case was SO slippery, it would fall out of my hand. It almost felt as if it was greasy but it was just the type of silicone rubber they used. Absolutely horrible. Otterbox's case wasn't bad, and was able to be gripped. All in all:Belkin was the bestOtterbox & UNU were horrible.Sync Through TechnologyThis is where the UNU and Otterbox shined, as you could have the phone connected to the computer AND sync through the USB cable. Belkin's case does not allow this. It will only continue to charge the phone and the case. All in All:UNU & Otterbox were bestBelkin's failed this test.Battery Life & Charging AbilityThis case has a tremendous battery life. I went pretty much a whole half day with a fully charged phone, and the case finally died after 6+ hours of use (constant use, not stagnant use). That meant the phone was still fully charged, but it was just left without support of the case. Which I can deal with. The one thing here that makes the UNU and Otterbox case slightly better is that you can CONTROL the charge with their cases. You can't control the Belkin's charge, as once you're connected to the case constantly charges the phone. UNU's and Otterbox's had the ability to turn off the charge if you so felt like doing so. All cases have a battery charge indicator letting you know what's left in the case. Otterbox's case did not hold that much of a charge though, while UNU's case did have a good charge. All in All:UNU wins thisBelkin isn't far behind.Otterbox is lastI'll probably put more categories here, or feel free to ask a question and I'll be happy to answer.

Perfect for recharging on the go!
My Ifail5 as I like to call it (also known as my Iphone5) seems to drop battery life like I drop bad habits. Unfortunately, I don't really want a new phone quite yet. This case is the solution!!! The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because the iphone plugs into it, yet it doesn't use an iphone charger to charge it. Regardless, just to leave the phone in this case all the time and only use that style of charger so it can charge both when it is plugged in. When it's just in the case and my battery drops below 20% I push the little button on the back of the case and it starts charging my phone. This has been great when I've been on the backside of the mountain snowboarding, with no access to an outlet for hours. Just push the button and it acts like your phone is plugged in. I know this case is a little bulky, but I like that because it's easier for me to handle and less likely to get dropped off the chair lift. As an added bonus during the Winter, I feel like it helped insulate my phone better too. I've also been really impressed with the durability. I've dropped this phone so many times and had it knocked off the desk and it has survived every time (knock on wood). I would recommend buying this to anyone with an iphone5!

Really great phone case
Really great phone case. I have been using it full time on my phone for the past 5 months. The coloring is a little darker than what the photos show, but it is still a great color combo. Purple/Teal.Pros: Protects phone really well, the front plate is slightly raised, so even if your phone hits the ground face first, your screen will not take the hit. After 5 months of full time use and charging nightly the battery back up is still holding its charge and lets me run my phone all day without needing to plug it in to charge.Cons: The silent switch on the side, it is hard to switch on/off with the case on the phone. You can only use headphones with straight plugs. Most of mine are at an angle and so do not fit through the bottom holes.

Great case to extend batter life and let standard Micro-USB cables be used.
Although I prefer phones with removable batteries and SD card slots, my wife has an iPhone....Anyways, this case fits nicely on the phone and provides great extra battery life. It makes the phone bigger, but not too much worse than a normal case, just a bit thicker.I love that it uses standard Micro-USB connectors, allowing me to finally standardize the cables in our house and vehicles. There are no instructions, but it seems easy enough to figure out. With it on, and when you plug it in, sometimes the iPhone will -bong- a few times. I don't know what's up with that, but it doesn't happen too often. This was definitely something that I should have purchased a long time ago.

Best battery case of the six I have owned
Robust, 3-piece case. Has a micro-usb charge connection, but it is on the side, recessed into the back (buy a 90 degree cable to increase comfort). All other battery cases I have owned have died for one reason or another. This one is still in use on our extra iPhone 5S. Other that an estimated 30% loss of battery capacity, it continues to function. The only negative is that 'sometimes' when plugging it up to the charger, it fails to begin charging the phone. A quick on/off cures it, but if one forgets, he wakes up with a fully-charged case, but a fully-discharged phone.

It holds two charges on it which is great. The downfall is it does take all night ...
I have had this case for several months now. It holds two charges on it which is great. The downfall is it does take all night to charge back up. I also notice that unless you unplug your phone from the case and charge separately, it rarely gets a full 100% charge even after a full 10 hrs plugged in. I give four stars because of these little things. Overall, this case works great! It is not super bulky and it allows my phone to last throughout the day as I use multiple apps and emails throughout the work day that take up a lot of battery usage. My phone also gets very horrible service where I work which also caters to draining my battery, but this case changed it from dying by noon to lasting till midnight. Pretty great product!

Very good product
very good quality product, I've had this for a few months now and wanted to test it before I wrote a review.battery does get a little warm 'not hot' during charge from the pack (not from mains plug charger) this only tends to happen if the iPhone original battery is below 70%.also when charging from mains plug charger, when iPhone is in the locked screen and you need to access functions (unlock, answer calls, texts, turn alarm off etc) you lose this function, it takes about three attempts to unlock your screen, this is the only gripe I've got with it really.size and weight is what I expected from reading reviews before I decided on Belkin, other than that it gives 100% charges unlike other units on the market.

Great Buy!
This device is great on so many levels! Embedding the iPhone into this is literally a snap. When I plug in a micro-USB charger, it first charges the phone, then the external battery, thus ensuring that if I remove the phone, it has a complete charge. Stopping the battery from charging the phone is simply a matter of pressing and holding the button for a few seconds; to start charging, I need to simply tap the button again. To check the charge, I press the button briefly. The pack holds one complete recharge, effectively doubling my phone's battery life. I can charge the phone and pack separately using two different chargers. And since micro-USB chargers are so ubiquitous, I don't have to hunt around for an Apple charger just because I forgot mine at home. There are just two minor issues: first, the pack gets quite warm while its charging the phone, but then that's to be expected with Li-Ion batteries. To avoid overheating, I just charge the phone piecemeal. Second, the shape of the phone means that the chamfered edges get dirty. All in all, both minor issues are a very small price to pay for a great product at a fantastic price.

Saved me from buying a new phone
Great way to extend the life of my iPhone 5. Love it. Gives good protection to the phone too. Only downside is that to charge it, I had to buy a new car charger since it doesn't use the Apple lightning connector to charge.
