Have any clamps rusted or are they waterproof? Have you used them outside or exposed them to water?

They are plastic, except the spring and center pivot bolt. They are certainly waterproof, but I'd imagine over time the metal spring and bolt would eventually show some signs of rust.. I don't use them outdoors in water, so that's just me imagining what would happen over time if I did.. I'm not sure you'll find any of these where the spring is made out of stainless steel, although if you wanted to replace the center bolt with a SS bolt or pin, you could certainly do that..
