Hart to Hart: The Complete Series [DVD]

I bought this series because I couldn't get any episodes on Prime. I believe it was due to a copy write law, or something. I've noticed it is also included on some of my favorite old shows when I was a kid, 6 Million Dollar Man is another that has the same thing-strange isn't it. I decide t to buy the complete series, because it was a good show. I remember when I was 8 and watching the Hart's solve mysteries. It is a little dated, especially with Mrs. Hart's character as a damsel in distress. Still it is a great series, that you can't find on T.V. anymore.

Having a great time starting from the pilot. Enjoying the bonus narration by Stephanie Powers and Robert Wagner. Playing it on an old PlayStation PS4 - works great. Nice job by ShoutFactory picture is wonderful. I was watching this on streaming services but so nice to have all in one place, commercial free. DVD pause, right where I left off. I’m delighted. It’s more campy and funny than I remember. I also love the cars and fashion. Los Angeles locations are great too.

I'm so thrilled that I got this DVD set. I love Robert and Stefanie so much as Jonathan and Jennifer Hart. I loved how they were always a happy, loving couple and never put each other down or treat each other like crap. It's still a great show to watch compared to the garbage that is on TV today. I love Max and Freeway too. I was the only one in my school at the time that watched this show. All my friends never watched it so there was no one to talk to about the show. Too bad on them. They didn't know what they were missing. I met Robert and Stefanie in person years ago and let me tell you they are the sweetest people around. Now I'm going on round 2 of watching these DVDs!

Discovered this show about a year ago while underemployed. This early eighties era show holds up well for today's viewer. There is a wholesome story telling element, though one wouldn't guess by the show's opening. My husband pointed out that if the hobby of the Harts really was murder, then Jonathan would make the perfect Batman-style vigilante. After all, he is a millionaire. And a do gooder like Bruce Wayne. BUT the classic show means much more to me in its glorious original form. DVDs are packaged in such a way that the box on display looks like a family photo. Every disc has played without issue. Great buy for a show held close to MY heart.

Shout! Factory is generally very high quality on the DVD sets and digital transfers. This set is no exception. However it seems there was a change possibly in who was over the DVD mastering project on the various seasons of Hart to Hart. Seasons 1 and 2 are indeed proper 4:3 full screen, utilizing the full DVD resolution capability. Seasons 3-5 are NOT 4:3 (1.33:1) full screen, even though the packaging says they are. They are actually 4:3 video MATTED on the sides for presentation on 16:9 displays. This actually reduces the horizontal resolution of the video. It may cause the need to change the settings for proper display between the first 2 seasons and the remaining 3 seasons depending on the specific player and display combination being used. In my set, the 6th disc of Season 3 also came with as a defective disc, where the second episode would not fully play. I am trying to work with Shout! Factory on a replacement. Their initial reply was very quick from their product page. Hopefully a replacement disc will be possible and as quick...

De chica adoré esta serie. Recuerdo que soñaba con encontrar un Jonathan Hart y no precisamente por el dinero sino por la manera en que adoraba a su esposa. En México siempre nos llegaban todas las series a medias y ahora casi 30 años después puedo ponerme al corriente en mis series favoritas gracias a los DVD. Aunque la última temporada perdió un poco de la magia de las primeras temporadas aún hay capitulos que valen la pena y sigue siendo una de mis programas favoritos

I loved the show very much! Actor Robert Wagner was great as self-made millionaire Jonathan Hart; actress Stefanie Powers was also great as author Jennifer Hart and actor Lionel Stander was also great as Max, the Harts' butler. There was never a dull moment with the Harts jetting around the world solving crimes; the actors and actresses were great as well as the directing and writing. Excellent box set containing all 110 episodes (plus pilot) of the 5 series of Hart to Hart. There are 29 DVDs packaged in the set. Be aware that these are North American Region 1 DVDs (NTSC colour), so you'll need a multi-region DVD player if you're playing them outside of North America. Otherwise, the picture and sound quality are very good, with all episodes in their original 4:3 (not widescreen) standard definition format. Only seasons 1 and 2 of Hart to Hart were released in the UK, so importing these DVDs from the US was the only way to own all of the episodes ever made of Hart to Hart. It has been so good to be able to view all the episodes again - Hart to Hart is as entertaining as ever and has stood the test of time from when they were originally screened in the late 70s/early 80s. All of the films that were made are also available on import from the US and I'll definitely be getting those too.

I remember watching this in the very late 70s early 80s and had fun when it was brand new on TV and enjoyed this little run down memory lane. The DVDs are good and the picture quality was surprisingly better than I had expected it would be. Nice set.
