We live in a thatched cottage and mice are constant visitors in our roof space. Personally I don’t like using poison, but with three lofts and reaching the age where I don’t want to climb ladders regularly, I use these more frequently than I would have previously. We had 3 boxes, now 13 strategically placed and which require me visiting them no more than twice a year to top them up.I can confirm that in the right environment these boxes will last for years. I have some of this product which have been in our loft for well over 5 years.The boxes themselves are manufactured from durable ABS material, in which there are two compartments to insert bait. I use wax type bait on one side and for this review, pasta on the other. I locate the boxes adjacent to a wall or beam/pipe/trunking: mice like to run parallel to these or similar - all explained much better in the leaflets accompanying the boxes. There is a simple locking mechanism to ensure that they are safe, which ensures that the box is difficult to open without the key. I find it annoying that these boxes only come with two keys per 10 boxes, but it ensures I keep them safe.A very simple bait box for mice. Pretty safe to keep bait out of the reach of all but the most determined child/pet; we don’t secure ours as they are located in our loft, but you have that option if you wish to attach them using a cable tie or similar.Recommended.

Great value bait boxes which arrived next day with plenty of bait and clear, easy to follow instructions. Rather than screw these boxes to the floor I fixed a strip of double sided 6mm adhesive tape across the back, placed them against the skirting board on firmly pushed them back. No movement so now I'll leave them alone for a week or two then check to see if the bait has been taken. Thank you Seahaven. Jerry H

The mice did not seem to any to go into the boxes, even using the attraction spray. However when I found a couple of mouse holes I pushed a piece of the pasta poison into those holes, and within 48 hours I had two decade mice.

Good quality and robust. I have bought these boxes to use in remote buildings. The boxes will keep the bait protected and safe from non-target species. I expect the bait will last much longer as well as properly protected and off the floor. The bait sachets are just right for the boxes and readily accessible for mice.
