Wish I’d bought one years ago!
Easy to assemble and use. Great storage bag for all components. Feels really well made but looks like all parts available as spares so hopefully get lots of service out of it. Self sealing gas cylinder availability good. Lots of ingenious features - there is a clever ‘guard’ that stops grease getting near the flame. The grill plates are shaped in a way that it guides any oils into the guard underneath which simply lifts of for cleaning. As for cooking - it grills burgers perfectly. Despite having a cooker in our caravan, we used it 5 nights in a row As it was so good.

Best small BBQ
We bought it for a group BBQ. Fed 12 people, we fried onions in the lid (for the hot dogs) and then served salad in it, Burgers and stuff, cooked for a couple of hours, still plenty of gas left. Very neat, VERY portable, best camping buy so far. Highly recommended

Much better than I thought.
Really handy and convenient, for garden and /or picnics etc. Easy peazy to assemble, disassemble and store. Integral gas canister makes it so convenient. Cooks well, and put the grill plates in the dishwasher afterwards. It doesn't get much better than that! Suitable for up to 4 people barbies. Anymore than that and you will probably want something bigger.

You need to be a safecracker
The product I received was labelled Safari Chef 30 rather than Safari Chef 2. It's basically the same but the knob doesn't have a blue arrow on it (or any kind of marking in fact to tell you where it's pointing). Which is a shame because it's extremely sensitive. The marking alongside implies that there's about a half turn between off and full - that's a bare-faced lie. In fact it's about 15 degrees - i.e. it's already at full power by the time it's turned from 12 o'clock to 11 o'clock! I could not believe it was supposed to be like that so I asked Cadac and sent them a video, and they said it's within the range they would expect! Well then it's bad design!Basically if you want any setting less than full blast (which you do, because full blast will burn your food and ruin the grill plate in no time), you have to be a safecracker, making minute adjustments to the knob while listening to how the gas is flowing (because you can't easily see the flame), as if you turn it too far (remember it's unmarked!) it will start to sputter and go out. It helps to draw a dot on the knob with a marker pen so at least you know how close to the off position you are...I imagine the low pressure version is probably easier to control, but there's really no excuse for such poor controllability on this one; I've used other direct-gas-feed grills that had much more control.ALL THAT SAID, I have to give it 4 stars because once you are adept at the fine motor skills necessary to set a medium heat, it cooks extremely well. Everything I've cooked on here has come out very tasty. Preheat the grill on a high heat for no more than 4 minutes and slap on your meat for perfect char lines every time. Then turn it down (gently... gently... damn too far. try again...) and put the cover on to cook through without burning or drying out. I'm by no means an expert barbecue chef but I get good results from the Cadac every time, and that's worth a lot.The grill plate is *moderately* easy to clean, though not exactly non-stick: something like the Cadac brush is an absolute necessity.I went for the HP version for convenience as I intend to carry it around, take it to festivals etc, and being able to directly screw in a gas bottle seemed more convenient than having to use a regulator etc. The lack of controllability is a major downside, which I imagine the LP version is better, but I don't know for sure. It seems odd to me that no-one else has mentioned this, and yet Cadac says mine is normal...

Compact and easy to use and clean
Loved the flexibility of this to fry, grill and boil in a compact cooker. Very sociable as we can all sit around with it in the centre of our table. Easy fuel - Connects simply and stores in the bag for next use. Very easy to clean and dishwasher safe makes it even easier! Guests are jealous for this! Space for 4-5 people depending on what you are doing. Would highly recommend this.

Alfresco cooking
Useful addition to the moho. Big enough to cook for two, easy the clean and parks away compact and neatly in its own bag. I got the HP version that uses a screw in cannister so dont have pipes to get in the way and heavy gas cylinders to carry. Used a few times so far and very pleased

Amazing - the bad reviews are so so wrong
really really good stove. Boils water in minutes. I cooked a pizza on the flat plate with a bit of tinfoil under it and it turned out brill. (£1 supermarket pizza)The grill is also great and cooks fast.Good adjustment on the heat (I'm using a Coleman performance gas canister)I've had to turn it down apart from being water as its so hot.I did think £120 was a lot, but its a bargain for what you can do with it! Great work Cadac
