above average book from the series, but nothing revolutionary
the story happens during the industrial revolution period, but the story, writting ans screenplay is as usual for the author's style and there is nothing revolutionary about it.if you are fan of the king's bridge series, so for it, an average read , but I honestly don't understand why the story is set at king's bridge, it could have taken at anywhere in England.so many characters and the last 70 or so pages appears rushed to make those happy endings for all those characters.there is also no mega construction project undertaken by the hero character ( as is common in King's bridge series)

great reading
Authentic book which describes the social conditions of napoleon era. Sometimes shocking to read on the social structure and the dynamism which existed at that time and why it led to a revolution

Nice story moving on predictable course.
Detailed information about the era of Industrial Revolution was very interesting. The author has art of weaving historical facts with interesting fiction. Worth a read.

Brilliant as always
Once again another highly entertaining and educating historical fiction from Ken Follett. Now starts the long wait until the next one.

The quality of the book is very poor.
I normally prefer to read any book from the physical copy. When Ken Follett's latest book was launched, I was extremely excited. I had pre-ordered the paperback and eagerly waiting for it.However, all my excitement disappeared when I saw the book. The quality of the paper is extremely poor. The text of the previous page is clearly visible from the other side as black lines. The paper is very thin and of substandard quality. In addition, the print too is much much poorer compared to the previous book "Never". This time it is much smaller and the line spacing is far lesser, making it much more difficult to read.Overall it is a far worse quality print. I am really disappointed that Pan Macmillan has done such a poor job of the paperback for a book that is surely going to be a bestseller and going to be bought in millions of copies world over. So, against my general preference I am reading the Kindle version of the book even though I have the Paperback.

Another great Follett read!
Ken Follett's books bring history to life and are always captivating. One of my favorite authors.

Fascinating!
Although over 700 pages this reads so well you do not mind; you don’t want it to end. There is no clear protagonist, but rather a look at life/religion/ politics in a small English village in the 18th century. The characters are well defined and by the end of the book, you feel like you know them all. Follett is a genius of including relevant historical information without is slowing down the plot. Fascinating look at early Methodism.

Livro excelente, no estilo Ken Follett, a venda foi sofrível
O livro segue o padrão do autor. Merece 5 estrelas. A impressão e capa dura excelentes!! Triste.
