Beautiful
Great product for my beautiful girls. The fact that all that was shown is exactly what we go through.

Brilliant...
Social media are telling girls unless you're hair is straight and (blonde) that you're not important. Embrace your platts and curly hair ☺️ You are Important and your hair is Specially designed.

Great book
I love this book and so does my daughter. It's a little wordy so it not suitable for very young children but it has great illustrations so you adapt the story to suit the child, which is what I do. I intend to buy this book again for my niece.

Special Children
All children need to know how special they are and at the same time they need to be aware that they are individuals. My 4 year old hates having her hair combed as with all children, but after reading this book to her she has settled some what. She always wants her hair done in new styles, and that makes life easier for mum. Lovely book and so beautifully illustrated.

A reflection on true life
Myself and my pre school group looked at this book together. The children reflected on their own hair and commented on others hair in the group. It was a positive message for all those little girls who dislike their hair.

Team natural Afro all the way 😍
Absolutely beautiful 😍😍😍 EXACTLY what I was looking for! I want my daughter to always know her hair is literal Gold. We spent so long as black women hating our hair because of society that we didn't realise we had the hair of Queen's. Well we know it now!!! and we will not subject our babies to the rubbish we went through! I can't wait till my princess is old enough for her to understand the importance and significance of such a book 👩🏾🦱👩🏿🦱

This is my favourite book I read to my daughter. Her eyes light up as I turn the pages as the graphics are so vibrant! It draws her attention to the story and I believe she knows I'm talking about her hair as she remains so calm during it, I can actually comb through hers!

Great for building self love and appreciation for the African girl child. Bought this for my daughter's 9th birthday gift. Book came torn and package was not sealed. Not sure what happened between dispatch and getting to Japan.

Being a mother of an afroitalian girl with afro hair can be sometimes difficult. Difficult explain to my daughter how beautiful are her hair , how important take care of them. Thanks to this book she can identify herself with the character and understand that sometime can be annoying but hair are part of her and her roots

My daughter is 10 years old and I have kept her hair naturally curly. She is mixed and gorgeous. She was at school and a little girl told her, " You need to tell your mommy to perm your hair, its a mess." She came home crying because this little girl, who is like her (the girl is african-american) said that to her. I talked to her about it but I don't think she believed me when I told her that her hair was beautiful and special. I came to good ole' Amazon and saw this book. I bought it for her and when it came we read it together. She smiled at the similarities between her and the little girl in the book. Like how she asked her mommy to stop doing her hair until the ouchies went away, the same as she does with me, or that fact that every hair style in the book has been done to her hair too. She LOVES her hair now. And she wants more books about little girls' hair. This is hard but I am looking right now for another one. This book is an inspiration to all little girls of color or mixed race. It truly has been for my daughter.
