Love Love Love this 'Lakeland Laundry and washing basket on legs'Really makes a difference when hanging the washing out !push the buttons the legs go down .... pull the handles the legs go up. Easy peasy.Don't try pulling the legs down .... I suspect that would break them!Sturdy with a FUL:L load of washing .... no issues whatsoever.Downsides .... really not much .... its made of plastic - so not good for the environment ..... mmmm what else .... it is slightly heavier than your average wash basket.Nope that's it ... I have had mine a few weeks now .... hoping it will last a long long time ... but if it was to break ... I would definately buy another.**3 years on**I hate to jinx it - but I use this laundry basket day in/out and week in/out (from spring-autumn) and it is still as new! no bending to pick up laundry/pegs - can not recommend enough - when it does break - I will definitely buy another one.

This is the best thing since slice bread. I am very very pleased with it BRILLIANT no more bending over to hang your washing out. Plus you get the basket as well with it. It is so easy to use all you have to do is when picking up the basket you just push the two black buttons down on the top side of the basket and the legs come down and when you finished you press the black buttons up and the legs come back up great for storage.When looking at the reviews some people said the legs for a bit wobbly which they are a little bit nothing to worry about because soon as you put your washing in the basket the legs are perfect. I would highly recommend this to everybody you cannot go wrong.

Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product, when taking into account the price.It is very sturdy and very easy to use. The leg locking system is quick and smooth, so has proven to be time efficient too (in that you're not standing there shaking and fighting to get the legs to drop for ages!).I'm very satisfied and glad I made this purchase.Would definitely order again!

Brilliant idea. This is the second one I have purchased. I made the mistake of walking down the garden with the legs out and knocked against the door as I went through, cracking one leg at the top. I tried to fix it, but to no avail. Hubby put a small right angle bracket on it which sort of fixed it, but it was never right and inclined to fall over. I suppose really what I am saying is that the legs need to be more robust, even the new basket wobbles a bit when I have a wash-load of bedding in it; I shall treat this one more carefully.

I'm Always looking at ways to save my bad back and keep housework as easy as possible and this fits the bill on both counts! I wasn't sure if it would be gimmicky - a laundry basket on legs! And very expensive compared to your normal plastic laundry bin, but it does make life much easier.Firstly the basket is large and very useful to have a rectangle base compared to the usual oval shape as it makes it much better as your dryed and folded washing can lay flat on the bottom, saving on ironing later!Initially the leg mechanism was rather stiff but after getting my son to open and close a few times it made it much smoother. However if you have arthritis in your hands, it would be difficult! The legs are not terribly strong but apart from in very windy weather they do hold a full basket of washing.Best of all I was delighted how much it really did save my back by not having to bend for every item of clothing.Just one tip - when you press the buttons to retract the legs, press hard and quickly otherwise the legs won't clip back in and will fall out of place.Highly recommended!

Ordered this for my mum who has problems with mobility and the washing machine is on constantly in the day, so thought this would help with hanging washing out etc. Delivery was excellent, so quick and efficient. Unfortunately on opening the item was to big and heavy for my mum, what a shame, as really thought would help and concept fantastic. I rung Lakeland and spoke to a lovely lady who said not a problem, would refund me straight away and that she wouldn't send a courier to return the laundry basket and to donate it to charity. What a lovely kind lady, restored my faith in human nature! so I have donated it to my local charity shop 'Daisy Chain' which supports families with Autism. I had my first legged laundry basket quite a few years ago, and it recently finished falling apart due the plastic having become brittle with age. I was delighted to find this one with Lakeland - and it does exactly what I need. It is particularly useful if, like me, you have to dry/air washing upstairs, as having the retractable legs means you carry the basket up/down stairs easily and safely; and being able to drop the legs, so you don't have to bend down to the washing, is very helpful.

The legs seem very flimsy and not very strong. It moves a lot when the legs are down. The actual basket is a better quality.
