Good book to keep their attention

Good book and my 7 years old daughter loved it!

This is a great book! We have another Mario book that has no plot and is basically just cute pictures, but this book actually has a story to follow. It summarizes the Mario movie pretty well and keeps the attention of my 3 year old. The pictures are cute too!

I’m surprised by all the comments praising the picture quality. In my opinion, while the art is great, the printing just didn’t equate. Some photos are almost blurry - I know one is intentionally blurry - and the rest are faded. Reminiscent of a printer running low on ink / images too small to be blown up. It’s also very cheaply made; almost like a DIY calendar. Definitely not book material.Expected more from something put out by Random House kids. I won’t be gifting it for Christmas. Will likely drop it off at our local SB book nook. Was too inexpensive to bother with a return (the only plus).

Cute and short story price fits

I got this book for my toddler because he has been going on and on about Super Mario( introduced by his older brother). He loves reading it with his brother and likes to look at the pictures.

Awesome pictures

Great for kids into the mario scene, my son loves it and wants it read every night, good price also.

I had to order this one twice because Amazon keeps sending this in a flimsy plastic bag which in turn causes this book to get bends in it all over. So if you plan to collect this book to have it in great shape on a shelf, you are better off finding this in an actual store. The book itself though is okay in terms of children's story, however, it does not tell the whole story and ends at the Mario Kart part.

My son has been waiting months for this book since watching the movie, and it could not be more disappointing. Not only does it feel like it’s been printed in someone’s garage, the images are low quality and the text/story is poor.But the biggest disappointment is that the book ends abruptly with a third of the story/movie to go. The entire ending is missing! From the reviews I’ve read of other official Super Mario movie books this is a recurring problem which sounds like they don’t have rights to the full storyline. SO disappointing for a kid who loves the movie. Absolutely pointless book.

Bought this because my kid wanted it. "It's just gonna be the movie but in book form" That's ok he said. And yes it was screen shots of the movie. Exactly as I expected. But that's not why I'm rating it so poorly. It's because it's so badly written and the main plot points just dead stop after they get help from D.K. They didn't even finish the story! It underwhelmed even my already low expectations. Don't waste your money!
