STAUB Mini dish Oval 15cm Black

I was having trouble finding suitable sized smaller roasting dishes and pans etc ti easily fit in the Mini Oven for smaller meals. I was looking for a proper cast iron dish that would sizzle food better than say ceramic or glass, that could also be used on my smaller induction rings on the hob. This dish is perfect, it is the exact size for teh smaller induction rings, and also having smaller side handles easily fits into the Mini Oven to allow space for you to put oven gloved hands in to remove.

Tiny, suitable for frying eggs for breakfast

This is a very good and well made oven dish. It is getting almost daily use. Great for any kind of baked/roasted dish and can be used for making gravy etc on my gas cooker. I also find it very easy to clean (though I don't use a dishwasher). Postscript - in a moment of carelessness I left this on a lowish gas burner while eating the food which was prepared in it. After letting it cool down the burnt residue inside was easy to clean off with normal washing-up liquid and a brush. No damage apparent. I don't suggest repeating this - your experience may be different.

Item was great but was sent without the Staub box, but was just wrapped in bubblewrap. I am disappointed as all Staub dishes come with a box and I needed the box to store the item. I believe that I was sent a returned item, but charged new price.

Perfect size for a couple of eggs, or a few rashers for a bacon sandwich. Easy to clean and I use rapeseed oil to season it.

I have two of these in different sizes and wouldn't be without either of them. Although names like Le Creuset are better known, Staub is one of the top ovenware brands, every bit as prestigious. I was able to chuck out a lot of old and very second rate oven dishes when I bought mine, and they will last forever - no chance of cracking or shattering. The build, cast-iron with enamel-coating, makes them satisfyingly dense but not too heavy, absorbs heat and serves as a perfect vessel for roasting and baking. They have proved to be non-stick, which is seriously useful. The design works so well. With raised handles at either end, it is easy to grasp to remove them from the oven with oven gloves, which is important because they get very hot. They are easy to clean in warm water with washing up liquid. The instructions say that they are dishwasher proof, but that the harsh detergents may impact the non stick properties. Honestly, they wash so easily under a tap that this is no problem (speaking as someone whose dishwasher is her best friend). Fabulously, although I use mine mainly in my fan-assisted oven, it can be heated on my induction hob too. The user guide warns that regardless of the heat source, heat must be introduced progressively (start it low and raise the heat slowly). Finally, they look great - ideal for presenting on the dining table to serve if required.

I was looking for a small heavy pan for making apple tart tatin, and bought this at a discount ! It does the job very well, as it works on the hob and in the oven. Perfect.

Works well for small roasts, especially if you preheat in the oven. Just right for small household needs.

Sto ancora attendendo sostituzione/reso del prodotto.. tegame inesistente, troppo piccolo.. pensavo ad un diametro decisamente più grande.. chiedo la sostituzione con uno medio/piccolo

Staub products are of excellent quality and design. I use this 6” pan to bake Brie. It had handles on each side for easy and safe handling. I strongly recommend.
