I was able to compare my new meter with the others.When the other two responded quickly to a gust from steady 17 mph to read 23 and 24mph, the new one stayed at 16mph. Only if the gust sustained for a while did the new one sometimes rise and generally read a few mph lower. The other two read within 1 or 2 mph at 20mph.The impeller is small and so its bearings are critical to being extremely low drag so the impeller blades can match the wind-speed. If there is too much or too little clearance in the bearings then this makes a big difference. So if you are a paraglider pilot concerned about gust strength check out the reliability of your meter with your mates meters and get a feel for the reliability of your own.To keep the dirt out of the bearings while in my pocket i made a close fitting plastic cap for it with a tether cord. Maybe the manufacturer could add this as an improvement.

For some reason impeller is broken but the instrument has barely been used. Replacement impeller very hard to get and not much cheaper than a complete new unit. Garbage.

Ho acquistato questo anemometro avendo letto delle recensioni molto positive....Mi serviva uno strumento semplice, portatile e soprattutto preciso, per la mia attività nel Windsurf e devo dire che sia la qualità dei materiali che quella costruttiva in generale sono eccellenti....Si percepisce subito che è un prodotto made in Svizzera!La ventolina di misurazione è molto sensibile anche ai minimi spostamenti d'aria ed il fatto che è resistente anche all'acqua (sempre meglio evitare) ne fa un valore aggiunto...Sono molto soddisfatto, lo consiglio.
