Works
This engine interface cable has been a great addition to my diagnostic toolkit. I’ve used it several times now with my boat, and it connects quickly and reliably every time. Setup was straightforward—just plug it into the diagnostic port and pair it with the software, and you’re ready to go.The cable feels well-made with durable connectors and a thick, flexible jacket that seems like it will hold up to frequent use. I’ve used it in a garage and in a marine environment, and it handled both without any issues. The connection is stable with no dropouts or interference, which is critical when running diagnostics or firmware updates. It worked perfectly with my diagnostic software, allowing me to read engine codes, monitor performance data in real time, and even reset fault indicators. It’s saved me time and money by helping me troubleshoot problems on my own instead of heading straight to the dealer.Whether you’re a DIY mechanic or a professional, this cable is a solid investment. It’s accurate, reliable, and just works. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable interface solution for engine diagnostics or viewing

Great cable
Ran this from my lowrance hds live to my 2024 yamaha 150. I spliced and soldered the cable in order to get it through the boot of my engine and it works flawlessly and at a fraction of the cost of a name brand cable. It is a lower quality cable, the shielding is pretty thin, out of the elements it should last a while.

Works as advertised.
Easy install. Only took a few minutes to actually make the connection. Running the cable from the motor to the console took some time. That will depend on how your boat is configured. Easily connects to the NMEA2k network.

Yamaha F70 interface cable
I installed this cable on a 2023 Yamaha F70 four stroke. Connected to a Garmin gpsmap NMEA system. Works flawlessly. Way cheaper than a Yamaha part. Be aware that the F70 outboard doesn’t display actual oil pressure. You can choose which data points to display on the Garmin. Really cool set up. Very happy with the cable. Mainly wanted to display hours.

Did what it’s supposed to do
I figured I’d give this cable a try over the Lowarance cable which costs 3 times more. It does exactly what it should do. It plugged right into my Yamaha 115 and connected to my NMEA 2000 backbone exactly like it was designed. I turned the engine on and went to the engine gauges on my Garmin everything showed up as expected.Negatives:The cable itself is not as heavy duty as the factory Garmin NMEA backbone cable. It looks like it uses smaller gauge wire, or the shielding is not as thick. Either way the cable is smaller diameter and more flexible. The connections: the Garmin brand NMEA cable and T’s turn/tighten on both ends of the connection. This is not a big deal and doesn’t effect anything really, but just an indicator that the quality of the cable and connections is not that of the big name brand suppliers. My engine harness cable is completely shielded from the elements, not exposed to the sun, weather, or water. If your cable is exposed to any elements at all I would probably buy the $100 name brand cable. If it’s not, or your like me and your boat doesn’t get a lot of use, I’d definitely say the $30 cable is a bargain and does what it should.Only time will tell if it will last though.

Yamaha f200
Bought this for my 4 cylinder f200 engine. It wasn’t long enough to go the route I ran in to get to the helm on my 22’ CC. I had to add an extension. Cable was nice connections were good. Gives me engine data read out on my simrad. Without going to deep, It did disconnect my info to the round Yamaha gauges. You need a Yamaha gateway to get all that to work too. Also no fuel data just mpgs while running. For more fuel info you need more stuff.
