These are the perfect size for little ones! Gifted this to the grandson (one year old) and he loves them.

I bought this set for my 16 month grandson. I was very happy to see the magnets were well protected. . My grandson plays with the set daily. He enjoys going around the house to see where the magnet will work. . I gave him a cookie sheet to build on. Would recommend this set. I wish I had bought the larger set. My Grandson wants all of the pieces for himself and doesn’t let me play.

I ordered this set for my 14 month old grandson, and he loves it! Since it's magnetic, it's easier for him to "assemble" with it as he doesn't have to manually connect the pieces; they grab onto each other. For added fun, I give him a steel cooking pot and bowl. The sticks will attach all over the pot, and he can play drums on both pot and bowl. He did start throwing the balls and I had to watch for that, as they have some weight to them. But overall, it's a great toy and I can see that it's going to keep him entertained for a lot of years. Lots of creativity is possible!

These are fun to explore building and magnets for little ones. The set comes with different colored rods and matching metal balls to connect and build different shapes, and provide hours of entertainment. The parts are large enough that they aren't a choking hazard, and they're solidly built so won't break easily. One set is perfect for a start, and other sets can be bought and added to make larger and more interesting things. Definitely a good buy.

I bought this for daycare. It is very sturdy and toddler friendly! The magnets are not too strong to have pinched fingers but are strong enough to hold pieces together while being carried by a toddler… bumping into things. It’s amusing to find the rods stuck to our metal safety gates. The balls are not magnetic, are lightweight, and sound hollow, which doubles as a toddler musical instrument. They are very durable: they have been dropped and clinked together on a regular basis. I would recommend they are kept away from electronics that you don’t want damaged. You can make a variety of shapes with one kit. If you have an older or more advanced builder, I would suggest buying two kits.
