Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer [DVD]

I haven't watched it yet as I'm saving it for Christmas Day but this takes me back to my childhood it was the program that was always shown at Christmas on one of our three channels back in the day and I always remember the narrator Burl Ives as the snowman and the abominable snowman captured Rudolphs family and he sets out to rescue them so hopefully it will be as good as i remember it and I think it will be . I will update this around Christmas after watching it so HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE.

My granddaughter just loves it. Brilliant.

Saw this Christmas morning c. 1964.Still one of my favourite Christmas films with some great songs ‘ We’re a couple of misfits’ especially. Wore out an old VHS recording so this fills the gap. Great memories

YES! CLASSIC CHRISTMAS!!!! I grew up watching this film as a child in Canada and am so surprised every time someone in the UK says they dont know it!Its pretty kitsch but i love it. - it makes me want to drink BabyCham and wrap myself in pastel pink tinsel!Love It

A Christmas classic for everyone to enjoy.I t brings back many childhood memories of Christmases past.My favourite Christmas story with a heart felt message for us all.

I was unsure if my children would like this classic Rudolph animation - but it was a total hit. Despite it's age it still struck a chord and there was no complaints about the way it was made, in fact if anything the children were fascinated by it. Lovely nostalgic feel to it, a lovely DVD to add to the Christmas collection.

I love these Christmas movies; they take me back to my 1970s childhood, waiting to watch on network TV. Though, this one, in particular, is a poor representation as to how adults (& Santa!) should deal with bullying. Poor Rudolph and Herbie, mocked and ostracised for being different, then only accepted once their differences are seen as benefits to the community.

Anything Rankin and Bass does it excellentThis is another good example of great Christmas special by Rankin and Bass.
