Excellent quality for the price; functions smoothly and easily adjustable. While tightening leg bolts to remove play, noticed that the black adjustment nut has two claws underneath180 degrees apart that capture a flange on the top of the adjustment sleeve. The claws effectively attach the adjustment nut to the sleeve which prevents separation until the screw is completely twisted through the nut. The other model stands permit the screw to be lifted out of the sleeve with no resistance. Perhaps this is a safety feature to prevent separation iin the event the stand tips over during use. It also provides additional alignment capability when the adjustment screw is near upper limit of its travel. The model is designated as with a a suffix "S" at the end of the model number. Didn't see this listed in the description or any of the reviews. The sleeve thickness is similar between both models indicating similar load capacities. Both screws are hollow, but plenty of thickness to support 2500 lbs.

We use this jack stand to hold our long black iron pipes while we thread with our power threader. Before we were using a ladder and my guys complained enough to where I went and bought this and it was worth it works great.

Good quality and worth the price

I use this to level up my airplane. It is a traildragger (because I'm that great of a pilot) and a biplane (see above), which means I need to raise the tail about 3' up to level it for weight and balance tests.The stand is sturdy, easily portable, and stows in a small area. Easy to adjust the height within several thousandths of an ince with the screw for precise leveling. Zero chance of sudden failure, compared to a hydraulic jack.
