KMINA Electric Toilet Seat Lifter with Handles, Toilet Frame for Elderly

We’ve had this raiser since May 2023 and it has helped immeasurably in enabling both my wife, her carers and me (as carer-in-residence) to have an easier toileting experience since then (time of writing 2+ years later). Recently it developed cracks just in front of the armrest joints with the main seat, which was alarming - it’s not a cheap piece of kit, although cheaper than other makes. I contacted the company via Amazon. Response time was very quick, very polite and friendly and incredibly helpful. They will replace the seat under warranty as soon as they can get one from the warehouse I was told this morning. First contact was yesterday morning. So satisfaction in 24 hours. Best I’ve experienced from any company. Can’t recommend highly enough.

The assembly was straight forward and, once we got the measurements right, the assistance it gave was even better than expected. Thank you.

Had this item for about 2 years . Sadly sat on it today it won't raise up, have ordered another. But going to be a difficult 2 days before it comes . Will be ringing company tomorrow.

This is great I got for my wee neighbour as he's 96 and finds it hard getting up and down this helps so much it's great for him well worth the money I would highly recommend it

Function: Purpose of this item is very useful for anyone with disabilities or elderly people with limited movement and strength. This is for my mother who suffers from severe arthritis. It is very easy to use, controls are easy to access. Click and hold to move seat down. One click to send seat up. Set up: heavy item, will likely need two people to lift into place or one very strong person. Simple to set up, instructions are helpful and only a few items to click/fix into place then plug in and ready to go. Atheistic: Simple design with attractive white polished finish. Fits in well with most standard toilet designs. High quality powder coated metal finish to touch. Size: not overly big for what it’s purpose is, my bathroom is small and the toilet is right against the wall. This item does not fit around my toilet so please check dimensions work before ordering. Value: I am not an expert on this product but what I can say is it for fills it’s purpose effectively and having had a look at other products on the market, this one is one of the cheapest I can find. Although this is an expensive item, I do think value for money is good on this item. Cons: Back feels unsupported, make sure you sit upright at all times on the way down and don’t lean back with the chair as it goes down. An improvement on this item would be to add back support. This KMINA PRO - Electric Toilet Seat Raiser came in a massive box. It surprised me just how big it was when it arrived. The box is very heavy, so you will definitely need an extra hand if you need to move it anywhere through the house, or if you're installing it in the upstairs bathroom. The lifting device is also quite large, so you need to make sure you have the room either side of the toilet, thankfully on the Amazon listing KMINA have provided detailed measurements of the device, and exactly how much space you need for the installation. KMINA is becoming a well-known brand in the disability world, and I have to give them massive credit for helping the elderly get some of their independents back. And all the products I've seen from them have been of top quality, and this product is no different. The build quality on this lift is exceptional! They made the lift from a heavy-duty plastic, & stainless steel, the product feels extremely sturdy & robust, and you'll have no issues with this collapsing under weight. Because the lift can support up to 330lb. The Setup was a breeze. All you had to do was attach the arms to the base, and connect the seat to the power supply, and it was ready to go. The device is very easy to use with a 2 position button on the right-hand grip that raises & lowers the seat at a 30° angle. The lift is fully adjustable by the feet, so it can be raised and lowered to accommodate most sized toilets. When installing the product, you will also need an extension cable or a power socket available, but I would advise you to get somebody that knows what they are doing with electrical equipment to make the installation more permanent. Such as making the electrics water tight, especially in places of water & high humidity areas, as we all know the dangers of water and electricity. But you could purchase a membrane box, or a Masterplug weatherproof box, and house all the electric plugs in there for a cheap and safe alternative to an electrician. And then just route the exstention cable around your bathroom and pin it to the wall, so you won't trip over it. This product gives you a lot of confidence with how sturdy the product feels. It has a fantastic well-built frame; it raises & lowers smoothly, it's very simple to use, whilst also being relatively quiet in it's operation. Yes, the product can seem a little Pricey at first, but this is only a 1 time purchase, and you have the product for life! And in my honest opinion, I think this is a small price to pay to get some independence back! Plus, the design and engineering that's gone into making this product, and all the materials used, makes the price seem justified. The overall quality of this product impressed me, and the company that made it, and I thank Amazon & KMINA for sending this product out to me for this review. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is an exceptionally good quality item. Very substantial and heavy so needs probably a couple of people to install it. Sizes are given on advert and they are true measurements so make sure it fits where you want it. Once installed, very easily, it works a treat and is easy to use These may seem expensive but check online and you will see that this is actually slightly below average price for this type of thing (at time of writing the item is priced at £1200) and from a known brand as well. Good value and works very well.

I have only one "complaint" about this equipment: it doesn't stay exactly in place over the toilet. In tight space with a caregiver, it is easy to kick it a bit out of alignment for when the seat piece lowers down to the bowl. I have added a piece of PVC trim material that I cut to fit between back rail and toilet tank to keep it from shifting back, and am working on locator for the back to capture feet in alignment side to side. It seems pricey until you consider a trip to the hospital if user falls or caregiver hurts their back assisting. I would recommend this product highly.

💡Una buena idea de la marca Kmina para las personas mayores o con problemas de movilidad para intentar evitar en la medida de lo posible, las caídas que tienden a producirse en el cuarto de baño. 🚽No es más que un asiento de wáter dotado de un motor que levanta o sienta a la persona para que no se produzca el movimiento de forma brusca y pueda ocasionar un problema mayor como puede ser una fractura de cadera. 🏭Buena calidad de fabricación y de funcionamiento, no ocupa excesivo espacio, salvo en que necesita en los laterales para colocar esta plataforma. Se maneja desde el apoyabrazos derecho con un botón de dos posiciones para subir (que mantiene ángulo de 30º que facilita la incorporación del paciente) y otra para bajar para quedarse a la altura de la taza del inodoro. Soporta un peso de hasta 150 kg. Los plásticos se ven y se precian al tacto que son de buena calidad y que se pueden lavar con agentes desinfectantes potentes sin verse afectados ni amarilleando por el momento. 📏Regulable en altura por la patas que son atornillables para alcanzar la altura deseada según nuestro wáter. La verdad es que creo que se adapta a una gran mayoría de inodoros aunque hay que asegurarse antes de comprarlo. Gran ayuda y comodidad aportan los reposabrazos que ayudan al manejo y a sentarse e incorporarse. 🔌Funciona con corriente eléctrica, lo que te obliga a tener el cable por medio que en mi caso me ha supuesto un hándicap ya que el enchufe se encuentra en el lado contrario del inodoro. 💶EL precio es para mí elevado, se encuentra rozando los 1200€ en el momento de hacer esta valoración que para una persona mayor o delicada , incluso para sus familiares es una fuerte suma a pesar de la ayuda y prevención que supone. 🤶 Lo estamos empleando en casa con mi suegra que está bastante delicada y que con este aparato conseguimos prevenir posibles caídas o resbalones en el baño. Lo tenemos instalado de forma fija en un servicio auxiliar para uso exclusivo para ella ya que es un poco mamotreto. 💢💢En general contentos con esta ayuda que venimos usando durante 3 semanas para prevenir caídas., la única salvedad es que hay que hacer una inversión potente que no está a la mano de cualquiera. 👌Espero haberte ayudado con mi opinión basada en mi experiencia cón el producto🙏👍
