These worked out great when creating a raised bed garden, using them for the top 3-4" of fill. At the 11 lb size, it takes some time for them to absorb water & expand fully. I found, if I broke them up as they expanded, the process went a little quicker, allowing faster exposure to the dryer interior of the block. If I expand this mew garden next season as planned, I'll definitely buy more.

Clean product. Breaks down quickly. Amazing price and fast shipping. I brought coir from many different companies but this is by far the best. The price is amazing. I bought ove 110 lbs. for my raised beds. And plan on buying more for my potting mix.

Updated review.I added a star to my review and wanted to make some further comments. After using this coir, I found it to be superior to the other brand I was using. It expands a lot more and had held moisture superior to others.The coir is fine, but it's not in a commercial package as shown. It's wrapped in plastic wrap. It is hand cut and I received a lot less by weight than I was supposed to.

Like most, I use it to sprout seeds and then I transplant them. It works fine I add a little water-soluble fertilizer to help along the way.

I have raised bed gardens and this year during prep I added the coconut coir and I wish I had known about this stuff sooner. My plants are healthy and thriving, even in our dry environment.
