I found the instructions confusing to begin with and I didn't always think the choice of colour or stitch was appropriate with a few plants but that didn't lessen my enjoyment. Some of the pieces were easy and some were more of a challenge. The improvement in my embroidery skills was definitely due to stitching these pieces. Before a piece was finished I was sneaking a look at the next one. Even if you never put needle to fabric, this is a lovely book to look at.

The best stump work book ever.
This is the best book I have used in such a long time, Sachiko is a brilliant teacher and explains everything in an easy way. Her work is beautifully created, and if you have the chance to see her work it will render you speechless . Thankyou so much for such a lovely book, another one please.

Skills emprover
I bought this book in April and worked my way through all 19 plants and flowers, ignoring the actual projects. Lovely designs and clear instructions.
Such delicate stumpwork flower designs and clear instructions on how to make them. I am really impressed with this book and have already tried a few of the basic stitches successfully. Next goal is to make a set of three and have them framed.

The perfect book for beginners
This is a beautifully illustrated gem of a book. It is not as exhaustive as some other books I've seen, but well illustrated and very clearly explained. It contains a few projects instead of generic instructions, but nonetheless is very useful in its clarity.

Excellent stumpwork book for beginners!
Stumpwork Flowers by Sachiko Morimoto is an ideal book for beginning embroiderers who want to try dimensional embroidery techniques. The projects are beautiful and small - perfect for a weekend of stitching. They can be adapted to all kinds of finishes, too, from framed pieces, to box tops, to needle books, to mounting on greeting cards. The instructions in the book are clear and precise, with excellent diagrams and step by step photos. Proyectos delicados y diferentes
El libro es muy bueno para comenzar en el bordado tridimensional. Tiene proyectos muy interesantes, y te enseña todo lo básico que necesitas saber. Me encantó y lo recomiendo a cualquiera. Suerte!

Great study in stumpwork!
This is an excellent book. There are easier patterns to learn on and harder patterns to hone your skills. I am looking for more by this author. I also like that the patterns are attractive enough to actually display or give as gifts.
