I read this aloud to my 6 year old granddaughter via Face Time as we live in different parts of the country. It is a light, happy story with child-sized problems, likable characters, and a bit of humor that seemed just right for our situation.

My granddaughter is 8yrs and an only child. The isolation of CoVid has been particularly heartbreaking this year. These books are a little oasis from the loneliness. They’re like adding some new friends. Thank you.

My daughter instantly identified with Alfie and her 7-yr-old thought processes. We both laughed and sighed our way through this book. We can't wait to read the next book to see what Alfie gets up to next.

First Ruby's mother wanted her to have the book. Grandma thought that was a great idea! So she turns to me, Grandpa, and said "buy that book they all love it". Of course, Grampa in the USA bought the book and Amazon delivered it, and now once again there is peace in the family!!!
