Top quartile of high end Matchas I have tasted. (Revised review)
I am new to matcha and have tried 4-5 five different brands is this price point and this the best one so far. Richest green, Nice creaminess not a lot of bitter notes but still rich in flavor. Still learning and exploring but I am sure I will circle back to this one. Sorry for the crappy photo was reviewing the whisk and that was the focus of the photo but you can see the nice foam and the rich green color.Want to give update several month later. First I want to be clear what version I order. It was Kiyo Matcha Premium Grade Toyokage Ceremonial Uji Matcha - Pure Japanese First Harvest Ceremonial Grade Matcha Green Tea Powder from Uji, Japan (40g/1.4oz) I have had over a dozen matcha now and at least 3 of these were superior. However those there were also significantly more expensive. The best was more than double price per gram and the other two about 20% more in price. One other observation I see with these teas is that the greener teas tend to have a little more moisture so they tend to clump a little more so you definitely have to use a sifter. It's counterintuitive, but the dryer tees are actually easier to mix, but I also think when you over dry delicate matcha and the tea you lose some flavor.I still stand by this being an excellent tea and I think it was separates it from a lot of others. It's a solid value at the high end. It's no longer the best tea I've tasted, but it's in the top 25% and I'm only talking about high end Matcha tea.

For cheap high quality matcha buy this one!
Wanted to buy a good ceremonial grade matcha that isn't too expensive and this was it. It is taking me awhile to get the ratio right but 1 1/2 teaspoons seems like a good amount for matcha lattes. I did a lot of research prior and found that this matcha tastes good and is high quality at an affordable price. I was between this matcha and Naoki, but reviews on Youtube recommended Kiyo. I do not use the traditional equipment, just a handheld sifter and an empty Talenti tub as a shaker- no clumps at all, just little spec of matcha. This matcha also gives an energy boosts. Definitely worth the price because good quality matcha won't be available at a cheaper value. Buying this again for sure.

Good quality matcha
This is good quality matcha for the price you pay. It was surprisingly more vibrant than the Ippodo Tea Horai. I really enjoy the flavor.

10 out of 10 recommend
I recently quit drinking coffee and switched to Matcha to see if it would help my anxiety. It did not disappoint. I have way more focus and mental energy without the crash. I’ve tried multiple brands and there have been pros and cons in all of them. I would buy those brands again, but this one is fantastic. Depending on the day I use 3 or 4 grams. When I use 4 I usually need a little more sweetener and a little more milk. This brand does not need that. It’s very smooth and deep without any bitter undertones. The color is a beautiful deep green. It even whisked better than other brands. Would highly recommend for anyone new to Matcha. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Smooth and not bitter
Delicious and affordable. I'm able to get a smooth consistency with this matcha and personally I don't find it too bitter. It's been so hard to find quality matcha because of the shortage but this is easily my go-to matcha from Amazon.

awesome for the price!
this is a great starter matcha for the price! it blends up nicely with good microfoam, and it has a mild, slightly sweet flavor. the color is gorgeous too. it’s a bit on the runny side for me, as it doesn’t thicken up well, but i can excuse it for the price!

Not as good as I hoped.
This is most definitely not a high grade ceremonial matcha powder. After trying Naoki and Ippodo, this matcha powder was incredibly disappointing. After an initial sift, there was so much clumping compared to other powders I’ve used that all fall straight through. Some of the clumps have shiny dark green film on them that looks like plastic — which I believe to be the tea leaves that weren’t fully ground up. Lastly, after forcing the rest of the powder through, there was clearly some speckled pieces that didn’t look uniform to the rest of the powder. The taste just barely passes for okay. If you’re a beginner, this powder would maybe be okay, but for those with more refined palates, I suggest you find a different brand.

Light and rich tasting matcha (Classic) some grassy notes which I like.
The classic matcha is amazing. No clumps when mixed properly and sifted.
