The smell is awful
Just got today and put the lotion on- it smells so bad I just wanted to cry to spend so much money on the scrub and lotion bundle. However I’m thinking of putting a scent in it and continuing to try it for my strawberry legs and just to achieve really soft skin. I’ll update.

Smells bad but works I guess
I bought this because Google's ai Gemini told me this was the best smelling lotion that has AHA's in it. I wanted something that smelled good because my other AHA lotion (healthy feet by oeefes) works great but smells bad. I hate the way this one smells as well though and I am returning it. I'm sure it works fine but I need something that smells a little better.

Mixed feelings. Will move on to another product once this one is empty.
I have mixed feelings about this lotion. I love that it includes AHAs, but you may experience some tingling/burning if you use this right after shaving (and the company is open about this sensation - it is right on the bottle and would be expected with any lotion with ingredients like this. I do not experience that sensation when I use it on days that I have not shaven, and even when I have used it after shaving (which I do NOT recommend) it didn't cause any kind of rash or burns. I definitely don't recommend after rough manual exfoliation, especially if you have sensitive skin - the company is also clear about this). If you have super sensitive skin, I would recommend that you skip a product like this altogether. I highly recommend that you patch test before use (which should ideally be done with any product), especially if you are new to products like this. One thing that I really don't like about this is how it smells. Like other reviewers before me have stated, I agree that it does not smell good. It smells like an "old" lotion to me. Not in the sense that it smells like a cheap old perfume, but in the sense that it smells - to me - like a lotion that has expired. However, I certainly don't think that's the case - it has a scent similar to unscented glycolic acid toners or lactic acid serums that I have used, so I imagine the scent is simply a result of the inclusion of those. It is not offensive, but also not exactly pleasant. I don't feel as though the scent lingers for long. I will say, though, that this product having added artificial fragrance confuses me. I am not a product formulator so take this with a grain of salt, but artificial fragrance is known to be an irritant. Thus, I can't imagine why they would want to mix that with AHAs or include in a product listed to target breakouts. I am also surprised that it smells the way that it does with added fragrance.I understand that this lotion contains some ingredients that your average, low-priced store-bought lotion likely does not, but I still feel as though the price point is high for such a small quantity of lotion. I will use this product until it is empty, but I will not purchase once it is gone due to the combination of the scent, the added artificial fragrance, and the price point. I will say that I did notice exfoliation benefits with continued use, but I don't feel as though that is enough to justify the cost or my dislike of the scent.

Great for problem skin!
I got this product because I have been having bumps on my skin. I believe it is called kilar pilaris. I had already been applying for a couple of days when I had some anxiety that made me start compulsively scratch on any bump on my arm. By the time I was finished, I had these huge welts on my arms. I applied this cream before bed, and when I woke up, the welts were barely visible. I expect the help with the kilar pilaris will take place over time, but I’m still excited about the results I saw from the welts. As far as the product goes, it is a typical thick cream that spreads okay. It is easy to apply and the pump is really convenient. I wouldn’t say it smells the best though. However, I have smelled that scent before, so I think it is from one of the natural ingredients. I am not bothered by it, but if you are looking for something with a synthetic perfume scent, this isn’t the right product for you. Only get this if you are okay with natural scents.

Wow! This is great product.
This is just what the doctor ordered for my very old skin. My hands love it. There is a definite tingle, which I love, as a no pain no gain girl. The scent is a tad medicinal. So the experience isn't the most luxurious, but the product works, and skin feels amazing after. And, I love that it is vegan. As a moisturizer addict, I am thrilled to discover this brand and this product.

Mildew rancid smell I can't get over unfortunately
✅Likes:○ Love the concept, great for me who doesn't shower+exfoliate nor moisturize nearly as much as I should, resulting in KP and excess dry skin layers. Seemingly should help with both○ Nice texture, hydrating but not too greasy or shiny or wet at all○ Good applicator, easy to apply○ Initial earthy seeming smell but...❌Dislikes:● Worse part is the main smell is a very mildew-y, rancid/moldy towel smell? I have had this once before with the cerave salicylic acid body cleanser, I am not sure if this is normal or I am just picking up on an acid scent that most do not...? But it's way too strong for me to use, I have a visceral "nope" response to this scent, like my body knows something has gone bad in it 🤷♀️
