I didn't believe the hype
I've never had a good crawling motor before, I didn't know what I was missing out on. I bought a brand new SCX10 III JLU and it's slow speed was great, had great power, it's handling was awesome. I keep seeing that people upgrade their motor and thought, "Why would you do that if it's already good enough?" So, I went out on a limb and bought this one, I read some reviews and people seems to like it so I thought I'd just try it to see what all the hype was about, and if I didn't like it I could probably return it. You couldn't pry this out of my cold dead fingers. It's amazing what a difference this makes. You can maintain the same speed going from flat ground to the vertical side of a rock, no more squeezing the trigger more/harder when you meet an incline, no more losing control on steep descents. The motor crawls as slow as you want going uphill or downhill. I'm amazed. Of course, if you put this in an SCX10 III, you'll need to change your receiver/esc combo to another one. I didn't know that, so I ended up having to buy a receiver, but I don't care, it was worth it.

IMO the best motor available
I put this in my TRX 4 Sport and am very impressed with it. Single water proof unit simplifies wiring and the performance is mind boggling. FOC control is awesome! I also got the programmer to set it up to my liking. Got my Dad the SE 1200KV version for his FMS FJ40 and he is loving the upgrade from the stock motor and esc.

I’ve always loved Hobbywing products
I can never say bad things about HobbyWings products. Everything that I’ve gotten from them has been high quality stuff that is super tough and durable. They are easy to install for a motor and it’s a plug and play motor. But it also leaves room for fine tuning if you have the program card so you can access its full potential. The motor’s performance is one of the best in the market and the noise it produces is so quiet when crawling but sounds good when you want to rip around as well. Super happy with this motor.

Amazing Motor/ESC Combo
Bought this for my TRX4. Install was a breeze, I kept going through stock motors due to the conditions I run my RC in. This motor is sealed and has plenty of power. 2x as fast as the stock setup. It also has the ability to crawl extremely slow which is nice when going over very technical terrain. 10/10 would recommend. The only thing I had to change was the motor rotation due to the TRX4's portal axles. Amazing motor would definitely buy again.

Just amazing
I have used this in (Qty 2) TRX4's and (Qty 2) SCX10.3. I have used Tekin, Caslte and Homes motors and esc's. This is a great option for trail rigs. If I were much more serious, I would probally look at the holmes line of motors and esc's. This is amazing and offers massive amounts power and speed. I have not tried the 1800kv, but being this offers so much power and speed, might consider it. The 2300kv is a monster. The low speed is nuts. So smooth.
