Q: what is the color of the back of the pillow?

I did not order the plaid, but the turquoise velvet. Both sides were the same color, so if the quality of the line is the same, then the back and front of these pillow covers will be plaid.

Q: Would a 16x16 be too small for the covers? I know they are 18x18, but would the covers still look ok with a 16x16 pillow?

The pillow cases definitely run a little bit tight! I have an 18x18 down insert in my 18x18 pillow covers and I really had to stuff them in there. I think the 16x16 inserts would actually be better. These are gorgeous and very well made covers!! You’ll love them!

Q: I just received. The online description says machine washable. The bag they came in says dry clean. Can these covers be washed?

I washed mine on the gentle cycle and laid them flat to dry. I used a cool iron in a few spots and they came out perfect. No issues at all!

Q: I have the 18" x 18" pillow covers. What size pillow insert should I order?

I used 20”x20” inserts for that size and they look perfect. Check my photo of the beige check pillows
