Misled: 7 Lies That Distort the Gospel (and How You Can Discern the Truth)

This is an excellent read for those that are on the same path of "Christian awareness." What do I mean by that? I'm glad you asked; you see, once you're saved, you're always saved. The new mission of your life is to learn - gain knowledge. From that knowledge you develop "wisdom." Having that opens your eyes (your spiritual eyes) far better than anything you can perceive on your own. Having tools like this book in your hands is essential nowadays as the world and life as we know it flies apart at a more rapid pace 'today' than 'yesterday.' Allen Parr does an excellent job at his explanations and dissertations in this book, I highly recommend you order it and take the time to read it. Along with the writings of Dr. Charles Stanley, this book is another excellent resource for the Christian battling what TRULY IS "truth" and what truly are "lies." Peace, brothers and sisters!

I can say with fair certainty there is so much deception and many distractions in the world today, that it's very easy to veer off course from our Christian walk. And it manifests little by little with a lack of peace that continues to pick away at you. I am so grateful for this book that Brother Allen Parr put out, because it reigns you back in to what is still real and true regarding the gospel. It also has brought me more clarity with certain passages that I had taken out of context and wasn't viewing from a higher perspective. Overall I feel very encouraged and strengthened by this read!

This book is a deep dive in exposing the lies that distort the Gospel. It is a must read and an excellent reference to the Bible in order to guard scriptural theology against the lies that threaten to derail the truth. Allen Parr outlined 7 false gospel lies and unpacked each one with scriptural truths. Every lie is debunked with scripture. One thing I learned is there is “nothing new under the sun” when it comes to those who set out to distort the Gospel of Christ. Some of the more popular distortions today have roots in other movements from decades earlier. The author explores these origins and how they evolved over the years. The truths within this excellent book confirms one of my favorite verses regarding sound doctrine. 1 Timothy 4:16 states, “Watch your life and your doctrine closely. Persevere in them because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.” Ensure that all you believe is aligned with the Word of God. Thank you Allen Parr for this most enlightening book.

This Book contains so many thoughtful, spiritually inspiring nuggets of information and scripture references, it makes it very difficult not to want to read it through in a setting. But, at the same time, it is a book that you want to take your time and absorb every {let me take a minute and see how this perhaps applies} ...to my life, and what actions can I take to grow from this information time after time, page after page. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has a desire to GROW IN CHRIST and seek to ENJOY ALL THE BENEFITS OF THAT RELATIONSHIP!!!

Omg!!! Love this book SO much!! I highly recommend everyone to read whether you are a believer or not. SO good!! It will really help you to discern and to make sure you are not misled from what the Bible says. PLEASE read this book!! If you are confused and are misled, it will help you question and to leave those places so you are not misled. It could also help you of other issues but mainly on how you won’t be misled anymore. Don’t be misled. BEAUTIFUL book!!!!🙌🤍

This book was extremely thought provoking. It looks at some common lies in the Christian community, tracks their origin-whether in culture and/or in selected verses, then the author successfully points to the truth found in the scriptures using correct context. It is definitely a book that helps you grow in your Christian walk because it focuses on what the Bible says in regards to these topics. I highly recommend both this book as well as the author’s YouTube channel (the B.E.A.T.) & his other available resources.

This book is a really good read from the beginner believer to the seasoned believers! I also love how Bro. Allen Parr is truly committed to his peers getting a good understanding of his book and why he wrote what he did. Our overviews and Q&A’s were awesome! Again and always, thank you Bro. Allen and thank you Sis. Allen for the countless days of sacrifice you have made to help make this book and ministry a great success!

Allen speaks on the misconceptions that are going on in the church. Meaning well Christians can be caught up in the traditions that can mislead and deceive those who are truly after God’s own heart. I loved how he used his personal experience that I can relate to and I’m sure many others. But most importantly rightly dividing the scriptures help me to get the best understanding. A MUST READ!!🤌🏼

Still reading but so far I am leading a lot. thanks Allan Parr. May our God continue to bless your ministry.The only complaint I have is the cover on the book doesn’t sit well. It’s loose and it curls up. I was going to return but I decided it would be a waist of time. Am just gonna tape it or put some glue.

This book along with scripture debunks many false teachings. If you are looking for a home church this book is a good place to start and sort out whether they are teaching truth or if they are misleading people The Mislead Facebook live book club is also a very good resource that discusses the chapters. . Highly recommend this book.
