I like it
Initial impressions only.Looks very good. The knife came fairly sharp which is appreciated. There's no flashing on the grip. It's very smooth and feels great. The knife snaps in & out of the sheath with an audible and tactile click. It's very secure. The sheath is also reversible for left side carry on belt or inverted on chest. The only slight con so far, as others have mentioned, is the how the sheath connects to the belt loop. The black piece should be a bit wider, allowing it to be secured with 4 screws (2 on each side) rather than 2 screws (only on 1 side). This is very minor and easily remedied with some paracord if you want a more secure attachment.I hope it holds up. So far so good.

Extremely sharp
I bought this because it was an inexpensive fixed blade. This thing is sharp. I have had it about a week and I’ve used it a bit. Seems to retain edge pretty well. It has D2 printed on the side of the blade and it cuts like a high quality D2 blade. My only partial beef is the rubber grip but it doesn’t affect the overall usage of the knife. It’s more preference on my part. The design is awesome though. It’s the perfect size and length, and it seems to have a good balance. Its weight is good. I think I’ll buy more when they expand their collection.

Great knife very dull out of the box
Edit: it's on oden wolf website for $25It looks like a quality knife out of the box. Nice fit and finish. No movement inside the kidex sheathing, fits great in the hand, feels very grippy, and a practical sized blade. Great value over all.I had a couple problems. 1 the knife was very very dull out of the box, comparable to a butter knife. I had alot of sharpening to do and only have an 800 grit with a strop bc mostly just need to maintain blades. It took a long time although not nearly as long as it should have to sharpen. I have other blades in D2 that are much more difficult to sharpen, which makes me wonder if it's actually d2 or maybe just a soft heat treatment. The reason I want d2 steel is for the edge retention it offers. I know they have other products in 440c and would be easy to mix up considering the lack of quality assurance (lack of qa bc the edge sharpness out of the box). 440c isnt a bad steel, it just dosnt have the properties i need for the application i planed on for this knife. It did however take a really nice hair popping edge. I need more time and testing to see edge retention properties

Food stains blade, but Still great.
I love the knife but was disappointed as I had no clue that D2 steel stains when you use it with food. Still completely functional though. It held its edge and was still able to slice through paper after batoning with it. The knife throws real great sparks from my ferro rod. And the ridges on the spine work well to throw sparks on a stubborn used ferro rod. I don’t want a knife unless it has the ridges on the spine now. Feels like a bushcraft knife is not complete without it. The knife and sheath together are very lightweight and even fits in your pocket as an everyday carry if you so choose. I bought the green flat grind and the black scandi grind. And the scandi grind was pretty dull compared with the flat grind. But I have a sharpening system and it was real easy just to put a sharp edge to the scandi grind. I’ve bought a lot of different knives on amazon, and Odenwolf is one of my favorites, mainly because it’s the best knife to use to always get a spark off a ferro rod. Even 1095 with a sharp 90 degree spine struggles with a used ferro rod. But the ridges on this knife ensure that you can always get a spark.

Seems well built
I will be updating this if need be after some more serious use but on first impressions it seems to be well made. I wanted a lightweight yet heavy duty knife with a spine that was good for striking a ferro rod and could withstand heavy duty use in the backcountry. This is sharp right out of the box and was well packaged. If I had one suggestion/wish for this, was that it offered a place on the sheath for a mag stick to be secured.

Certainly nothing unique with this one
For someone just getting into knives and into knife collection(s), this is a good place to start. It's made well, the handle is good for any type of environment, and with a little bit of tweaking, a good practical knife. Out of the box, it is not terribly sharp, but sharp enough to know it's there. The overall size is on the smaller side but again, it is ideal for camping, hiking, and a good outdoor utility knife. If you need or want a knife that you can feel comfortable with having your significant other or your kids carrying, you won't be disappointed. The sheath is your standard sheath. It will work but you may wish to 'change' it to a more solid version. The box is sort of confusing. The information says USA, but then references Germany (their headquarters), BUT Made in China. Not that all knives coming out of China are inherently bad, and this one is the exception. It is made rather well. I would like to have had a sharper blade but that isn't a deal breaker, at least for me. Not your higher end tactical or outdoor knives, but certainly not the worst. Practical, durable, and functional. Will do well when you need a back-up cutter for your everyday use (batoning, cutting wood, etc.). Glad I have it as I don't have to go through the trouble trying to figure out if I want to purchase it or not. ODENWOLF makes good entry knives for the market, but if you own one, you are not interested in purchasing another. Maybe a different style or type, but one of this type is enough for me.

Careful with this blade!
I just got this so I haven't had a chance to put it through its paces, but my initial impressions are very good. The grip is solid. I ordered and received the scandia grind and the blade finish is very nice. This is easily the sharpest factory grind I have ever had on a knife. scary sharp.
