Great little reference
Quite a good little book. It only measures 17½cm by 22½cm but has 128 pages of excellent tips, drawings and instruction. Jake Spicer tends to draw slightly hazy characters but I like his style and it’s a really good book to refer to. The book is in six sections – Introduction, What you need, About drawing, Building skills, The 15 minute figure and Going into detail. Spicer goes through the usual things you find in drawing instruction books – materials to use, techniques, what to draw, core skills etc. And I like his style. The book is small enough to carry round in a messenger bag and I think I’ll keep it handy to refer to and work from when I get a few minutes free.

Reviewing This Book In 15 Minutes
For artists both novice and intermediate, this is a very useful primer/refresher. I left off a couple of stars as there is a fair amount of overlap with the Life Drawing In 15 Minutes book. Otherwise, I appreciate the lessons that Mr. Spicer provides within, and will be sure to apply them to my own work!

Another good book on this series
Another good book on this series. There are lots of diagrams and not too much text to make it heaviy going. I would definitely recommend. Have others in the series which are just as good.

Read the title carefully!
This isn't about learning in 15 minutes to draw people. It's about a lifetime of learning to do 15-minute drawings. That said, the approach is clear and well taught.
