Great value 7.2 Dolby Atmos reciever.
A very versatile home theater receiver. Not in the "audiophile" class however it produces amazing sound for an entry level product. Control with a app on your phone or tablet is available. Does not have input for old turntables that have no preamp. You can buy Dolby Enabled SP speakers for the front if you want 5.1.2., which is the max setup for this reciever. When you use separate add on Dolby speakers that sit on top of existing speakers (even wall , or high front) you are limited to 5.1(or 5.2) Has 2 subwoofer outputs for 1 or 2 powered subwoofers. The maximum Dolby Atmos system this reciever supporst is 5.2.2. That is 5 full range speakers, 2 Dolby Atmos and 2 subwoofers. That is because the Dolby Enabled speakers take away the surround channel that would be used for rear surround speakers. (7.1.2 capable) You can use Bluetooth to connect and listen to music from a phone. You can also use Bluetooth headphones when you want quiet listening. Great for a small home theater or bedroom. Sounds awesome. Have this paired with new Sony sc5 series 3way bookshelf, Sony center and Sony 10 inch 120 watt subwoofer. Using Bose 301mk4 for rear surrounds. Has 4 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output with idle passthrough when unit is off. I cannot list all the features here so read the product description for more information. 3 complaints. 1, the remote is large and the layout of the buttons is poor and awkward to use. 2, can't get display to read out Dolby Atmos when in that mode. 3. Internet radio broken after updating firmware.
