Great, but has Flaws
First, I purchased these cell phone mounts in September 2020. I have loved them and still love them, even after one broke. I prefer a stick-on mount over a suction mount because it stays put. In contrast, all suction mount cell phone mounts lose their suction after a few months and need to be re-mounted and over time, the suction cup becomes less pliable and it doesn't stay put for any reasonable amount of time. Also, I like the ability to just place the phone on the mount and being able to take it off without needing to release anything. The one downfall with magnetic mounts is that if the phone has any wireless charging, the thin metal plate interferes with that ability to do so. The metal plate must either be mounted on the phone itself or a phone case if you have one. The latter is preferable because you will not mess up the phone by adhering a metal plate to it and you could always take off the case to charge wirelessly if needed. As for why I am writing the review, as I mentioned at the beginning, one of them broke. Specifically, it was the part that the ball goes into and the phone itself mounts on. The issue is that the threading on the part broke. This is because instead of being a full cylinder surrounded by threads, it must be four pieces to allow it to squeeze together a bit to tighten the grip around the ball joint. The threads are made of plastic. In conjunction with this being in a car where the temperature can go from well over 100 degrees to the 70s in a matter of minutes in the summer after one turns on any air conditioning, I would think plastic is less able to handle that than it was made out of metal. So if the mount is loose in the summer, instead of just tightening it more, it should be taken off and checked to make sure the plastic is not already cracked. If you look at the picture I included, you will notice three of the four parts that the threads are molded into are broken off.I will say that it was not difficult to just take off the mount to place another one on after getting it. Also, if needed for some reason, the magnetic portion from the part in the picture can be removed by removing a screw so one could reuse it.However, as I mentioned, I love this mount. That is why I purchase another set. I would have given it 3 1/2 stars if that were possible since I feel that it is in the 3 1/2 to 4-star range, leaning more to the 3 1/2 stars though.

Durable
The part that connects the holder to the surface that I am attaching it to, is very strong and while I was driving, my phone stayed in place.

Quality has gone down.
I bought this item 4 times. The first two in 2020 and they were really good. The held the phones strongly and didn't move or fall off. I bought 2 more sets when we got a second car in 2024 and the newer sets the magnetic pad is no longer flat. It got a convex bow in it that doesn't let the phones sit firmly. They will spin on the high spot of the mount around turns and have even let go of the phone and it hit my wife's foot while she was driving. If it was just one pack that had issue I wouldn't be complaining but both sets of 2024 ones all have this problem.

Great magnets to secure phones!
This came with TWO magnetic posts, so my husband and I each have one in our vehicles. We have just taken a trip, and were able to have our phones securely attached to our dashboards, which made it very easy to read Google maps.

Pretty darn good, single point of failure found after 3+ years.
I got this mag mount in 2021. The sticky parts are awesome, and I've had this in my car for over three years with no issues. Every once in awhile, it requires a little tightening up as the tension nut loosens with thermal cycles. Now, mid-2024 on a 104 F day, the threaded parts of the magnet shattered. Not bad for an inexpensive mount. And since it's a two-pack, the one in my other car is still just fine. I ended up buying a second mount kit, now I should be set for a few more years. Plus now I've got extra metal plates for another few phone upgrades, and more sticky mounts for new (to me) cars!
