Even the gadget clueless can use this, owned over a year, good price and works well
Let me preface by saying that I am terrible with most gadgets, and dreaded having to learn how to use this. I was surprised: once I practiced the steps, the use of it is intuitive and easy.If you buy a meter yourself (like this one) instead of taking the "pretend free" meter your unhelpful insurance gives you, you'll pay far, far less on replacement strips, and save money in the long run. The strips I buy for this run me around 25 cents each.Over a year later, and (knock on wood) not a single problem with this unit.Note: I do not use the "recorded history" or whatever that is called (to look back at past readings), I simply use the meter and keep my own notebook record of my results, so I can't comment on the recorded history part of it.

Inexpensive, Easy, and Accurate
I've bought more expensive meters that have not worked as well nor lasted as long. The strips are inexpensive, too. It is easy to use and the results are accurate. Even if you are not diabetic, everyone should be checking their glucose levels on a regular basis -- more or less often depending on their health. Once a year at the doctor's office is not enough for most of us. Keeping your glucose level under control is one of the best ways to avoid health issues. This meter makes it easy for you to monitor yourself.

Stick it to the big pharma glucometers
What a scam- a big pharma company makes a glucometer and then charges over a dollar a test strip, because hey- we all have health insurance, and they'll pay for all but $20-$30/month of that, right? Like we don't end up paying that back in constantly rising premiums... I like these Wavesense glucometers- they are small, reasonably quick, and CHEAP. Not just the machines- the test strips are cheap. I buy them here on Amazon for something like 100 for $30. No coding, no hassles. The diabetic supply industry needs a swift kick to the head, and this is my contribution to that. Metaphorically, of course.

Low-cost, but effective
I've been using this for 2-3 months now and haven't had an issue. Cheap enough that you can have a few for travel, in the car, whatever - and the strips are cheap as well. I believe my total spent on this and the strips needed to use it for 60 days was a little under $45 dollars and you can easily spend that on a tester alone, or on 30 days of strips alone.Excellent low-cost option for someone on a budget!

Had problem with meter, but AgaMatrix replaced it.
The meter I received from my order was not accurate reading my blood glucose. After a ton of research which rated this meter as one of the more accurate with reasonably price strips I was very disappointed. Called AgaMatrix, after explaining the readings I was receiving which were way off, they sent me a new meter. The new meter is working perfectly. Very happy with AgaMatrix.

Wavesence Presto Meter
The purchase was made after comparing the accuracy of several meters. From all the reviews the Wavesence won, with a much lower +/- difference, much lower than it's nearest competitor. The other reason, which I found out about after researching this meter, was the lower cost of their test strips.Again much lower than the nearest competitor. The application of blood sample is a little harder than some that I've used, but easier as time progressed.Gladly purchase this again.

Accurate and Fast
Bought this on Tim Ferriss' recommendation in the 4 Hour Body (he recommends the jazz, which doesn't seem to be around anymore). It works extremely well, and is easy for a first-timer like me to use. The required blood sample is small, the results are almost instantaneous, and the readings are consistently accurate. I have rarely had to stick myself more than 3 times. I usually get readings within 5 mg/dl of each other in just 2 samples.
