The right tool makes all the difference
I had several hundred feet of wire chain link fencing to remove. The 5 foot fence had T-posts and they were sunk into the ground pretty deep. This tool made child's play out of removing the T-posts. It was no problem at all. I am a big man and the leverage with my weight was just right for pulling out the posts. If you are on the smaller side or a woman, you can get an open end extension metal pipe to fit over the handle (called a cheater pipe) to lengthen the pull down lever and increase your pulling power. With a long enough extension handle even a child could pull out T-posts. I was amazed at how quickly the tool worked and the posts came out very fast. This tool is designed especially for T-posts, but will pull out circular posts also. Even ones that are set in concrete. All you need for heavy duty work is a strong chain to wrap around the post. The tool has a lifting hook that a chain will attach to. Attach one end of the chain to the hook and wrap around the post in a way that will tighten when pulled. YouTube has some videos on how to wrap chains around posts that are helpful. The only other thing you might need is something strong to set the tool on such as a thick wooden board so that the tool will not sink into the ground if you are lifting something very heavy.

Easy to use, works great
I'm a small female and I had to put all my weight on the handle but I got these old T post and wood posts that were 3 foot in the ground out pretty easy. It took a chain to get the wood posts out but both where easy. The T posts came out easily by using the notch. Works on T and U posts along with chain for wood posts. Best post puller I've ever used and I've used a bunch. I would recommend putting a piece of wood under the puller on soft ground or it sinks too much. The box it came in was a bit mangled but this IS a heavy item and light duty cardboard is a little too flimsy. The is a heavy duty product and should hold up for years, has solid welds and components. Well made.

Save yourself aggravation.
This is the one. Heavy duty and a long handle sufficient for removing t-posts pounded four feet in the ground. Don't waste time and money on the short version or the light weight versions. This one also has the hook for a chain for other post removal. I used this to remove old posts from a fence line in a now flooded reservoir. I had tried bending, pulling, wobbling, etc. I used this puller with a section of 2x8 as a wider base in the muck and each one came straight out. Keep the base close to the post for best leverage. No need for a cheater bar but the handle could handle one if needed - it is that heavy.

Works, but could be better.
Accomplished the task after modifications.1. Needed to add significantly more surface area to the base to keep it from sinking onto the ground.2. Needed to grind off imperfections in the inside of the hook to make it easier to insert or remove a chain link.It worked well enough for limited use pulling 4 main chain link posts driven into the ground (not set in concrete), but it’s starting to bend at weak points in the pivot. Price was low enough to make it a decent value, but I doubt it would stand up to more than occasional use.

Easy to use and worked well for me.
I had 3 5 foot long fence post around my trees in the backyard after we planted them (they were 2 to 3 feet deep). After two years the trees were big enough to withstand the winds and I tried to remove the fence post by applying pressure back and forth with negative results. I really didn’t know how I was going to get them out without digging them out. I put in fence post remover on amazon and this product came up. I took a chance and ordered it. I was home when it arrived and I immediately put it to use and in about 10 mines the 12 posts were removed. For me it worked well and was very simple to use.

Sure Beats Digging a T-post out with a shovel!
I wish I had bought one of these years ago. I had quite a few old fence rows and other T-posts around the farm that I didn't want but had no easy way of removing. My attempts to adapt an old car jack to pull up the posts did not go well. On arrival, I saw immediately how this device worked. I added a scrap piece of 2x6 to set the foot on and pulled about 15 T-posts in the space of about 20 minutes. Moving from post to post took more time than the actual pulling. Even pulling posts that had tree roots wrapped around their base was easy. Lifting the lever automatically moves the grabber down the post and resets it for another pull. The sturdiness of the tool and the length of the lever made the task almost effortless. I can't say enough good things about this device. If you have a number of t-posts that need pulling, I can highly recommend you order one of these.

Works great, easy to use, worth every penny!
Works like an old school hand powered water pump as the post comes higher out of the ground, simply raise the lever bar, the “grabber” moves down and resets over lower post teeth, push down and the post comes up higher. NOTE: Keep the base plate close to the bottom of the post. Some posts do require some muscle though. If the post is in real tight, simply set grabber higher on post and pull up shorter lengths of post until it’s loose, then lower grabber down further. Our posts are old and rusted but the puller still works great. After pulling up a couple of posts you’ll be an expert and moving on down the line.

Makes pulling T-Posts sooooo easy
I am a firm believer in having the right tool for the job. Subsequently I have a garage full of specialty tools I only used once, but damn it beats looking like a fool fighting with a 6ft medal stake stuck in the ground for everyone to see. I thought I had the right tool in a farm jack and chain. Oh did I struggle for an hr ripping just 1 post out that was left in the ground too long and said there has to be a better way. I found this tool and ordered... within 45 mins I had the other 7 removed, tools put away, and a beer in hand celebrating the win. If you have stubborn T-Posts that need removing, this is your ticket.
