Seems like some people have had issues, but I bought 4 of these to build a video server, and no problems at all!

Works great for storing video. Unit makes a bunch of noise but it is old hard drive technology, but works for what I use it for.

I should have known, you get what you pay for. This drive was junk out of the box and would not format. I tried several times to format it and it kept saying format error. I ended up using a Seagate drive and it worked perfect.

the drive doesn't seem new at all. the minute I hooked it up it was cooking itself and pulled up "Crystaldiskinfo" to check and it was overheating and had failed bad sectors! it looks like it was cleaned and resetted and slapped on with MDD's logo. did a little digging and found out MDD company recycled old drives that were once used for enterprise server's. they are actually false advertising by selling these as new drives when they are used. buyer beware! you get for what you pay for...
