Bought for macrophoto and stereo-microscope work. Arrived well within time properly packed in a cardboard box. Action is smooth and easy (threads were already greased) but note that owing to design drive rate (height/turn) always varies with position. Solid bottom plate with composition feet. Surprised at the build quality; not perfectly deburred, but very good indeed for twelve quid.

Seems to be fine. The knob needed tightening so that the table could be lowered (instead of the knob just unscrewing). It is fixed by tightening a bolt against it so easy to do.

Brilliant little lift.Top plate has warped from repeated heat passes (40 watt Co2 laser)Wasn't loose and rattling like some I've seen.Solid feeling to the adjustable dial knob.

Item arrived broken, two of the spot welded brackets were broken off, top and bottom, so it was in pieces. will need to be glued or re welded.UPDATE the seller sent me a new one, and this one was intact. I upgraded to 3 stars as the good one is as expected, a little sloppy but for what I need it is adequate. It probably won't handle heavy loads or loads that need to be kept steady.

I bought two. There is a little more play in the joints than would have been perfect but for the low price they were very good value.
