Rust-Oleum 371597 Universal All Surface Metallic Spray Paint, 11 oz, Matte Capiz

This is imo one of the best paints on the market, and I love the finish. However be aware: this is an OIL based paint, not enamel (according to the company via phone call). The can requires a LOT of shaking. If you shake it sufficiently, the paint dries within 24 hours and cures totally within 48 hours. If you don't... it can take DAYS or even a week to dry. Manually, it takes approximately 3 to 5 minutes of vigorous shaking to mix this well. You don't want to be doing that to your arm.This is such an issue I built an electronic shaker, because my arm and shoulder could not take the required mixing time when done manually. There are numerous instructive videos on YouTube telling how to make a 'rattle can shaker'. I made mine using a reciprocating saw with a circular clamp attached to the blade. You can also make one by using a threaded rod, two nuts and a soup can attached to a variable speed drill. There are several versions, but they are almost essential in using this paint (unless you want 'tennis elbow' or early-onset rotator cuff problems). Seriously, even with my electric shaking machine it takes a full minute and a half to shake this paint properly so that it dries quickly and well.Beyond that, it's great.

Very satisfied with the Satin Nickel. I was looking for brush nickel and this was very close to it when I saw pictures. I took my time sanding the old light fixture, didn't want to purchase one due to pricing. $11 bucks later I had a chrome light fixture turned into brush nickel. I LOVE IT. Everything in the house, from door knobs, faucets, fixtures are brush nickel. I can add a gloss shine to it, but I'm going to leave it as it is for now.

I used this to seal the surfaces of a new metal ornamental garden fixture. I like how it dries and how it looks. I used it one week ago, so time will tell if it works as a rust inhibiter. I did notice some beginning at a solder joint which might not have been covered well.

I had a few old and ugly floor air vents that needed to be replaced. After some research, I discovered that spray painting them would make them look new, match them better to the wood floor as well as save me money (compared to buying new floor vents). I used this spray paint to do the project and I am so thrilled with the results. The old floor vents look brand new and very nice against the wood floor. A simple search will pull several helpful YouTube videos for this project. Please do remember to use the spray paint outside your home (in open air) or in another covered area such as a shed but not inside your home or else you will be breathing the fumes/smell of the spray paint and will land sick with a massive headache.

This adheres very well to just about anything you want to paint. Covers evenly and looks great. I used it to spray bathroom fixtures and I was blown away by how well it adhered and how great it looked afterwards. This product saved me from buying new hardware and shaping out plumbing valves, which can be tricky w/older plumbing. .....Sometimes it's better to let sleeping dogs lie.

Used this to paint the switch plates to match the new accessories I recently purchased to update my bathroom. It was a perfect match and saved me a ton of money.

I spray painted iron legs on my behind the couch table. It went on so smooth & beautifully. It is a soft & bright gold. Not brassy & not too bright. I will be ordering more can, for sure. Gold paint can be difficult to order because of the color variations of gold. This was perfect. 5 stars!

Bought several cans to paint some mid century modern outdoor furniture. They came out awesome. I love the hammered finish. I bought this on Amazon because it was out of stock locally. If you order through Amazon and want to return it, you may not be able to because it is flammable and the PO may not allow it.

This product creates quite an unique texture which almost justifies the high price, but is actually quite a pain to use. It is oil based, so takes a huge amount of time to dry... I am talking more an a week to completely dry and usable, 3 - 4 days to be even touch dry. Also, probably because of the texturing substance and oil substrate, the paint often comes out in thick spurts, and creates a heavier layer then you wish. I painted a few track lights for the old copper effect and am very happy with the results, but can't say I really enjoyed the process, compared to normal spray paints which dry much faster. If you really want the effect, I guess there is not much other choice.

Colour was close to being perfect for my project but the dispensing was absolutely TERRIBLE. I really hate these new spray cans and will be avoiding them at all costs. NEVER AGAIN after completing my project which every one will see making things worse, all I experienced was drips and leaking and just not a consistent flow of spray that you would respect from such a respected company like RUST-OLEUM. This is the first and I hope the last time I am ever disappointed with a paint product from these guys, & again this has never happened until I purchased this new style spray can nozzle & btw it doesn't spray upside down or on any angle either like it claims it does. I completely was not satisfied with the finished product because of the dispensing capabilities and refuse to recommend this can to others, but the paint inside and the colour itself is excellent and almost exactly what I was looking for. If it wasn't for the colour and quality of the paint being so good then I would have given it an even lower rating. Try and find the same colour in a normal can if you want to do the job once without sanding refinihing or completely ruining your project. The can was always kept at room temperature so there really was no excuse for this.

Disappointed too much.. i c 15 dollers price and they cut my 48 dollers for 7.99 product.. and now refuse to return because they said its hazardous material. Y they ship this product??will b closing account of amazon soon.i was regular customer of amazon

Colour quality is very high end. It's truly metallic colour. Colour is very thick even one coat looks sufficient. Actual colour is a bit dark as compared to its cap representative colour.Spraying is not that easy the nozzle button is very hard and difficult to control. Need practice.Paint Reliability is good.Drying time is high, takes atleast 1 week to dry completely.Note : Please reed safety precautions on spray bottle. This is very dangerous / toxic and may cause serious damage to body parts if safety is ignored. Paint Smell is very strong.

Ordered this paint, arrived super fast, paint was one of the best we have ever used covered our rusty solar light hooks and Shepard’s hooks didn’t even have to stand prior, excellent coverage. I highly recommend this paint. Customer service was also great and answered all questions. Would definitely buy from them again.
