Good and economical successor to LOGICTECH harmony
Works as advertised, controlling a Roku/Philips tv, Xbox one, Sony Star-dh790 and an Amazon fire stick. It was easy to program, the UI is intuitive and the issues some users report in negative reviews are not issues on my unit at all.I used to have a Logitech harmony remote (which was the gold standard)… I would say this is pretty on parity for my needs. It doesn’t have the hub or ir blasters that harmony used to sell,,, so temper your expectations that your av unit behind a closed cabinet may not receive ir signals,,, but most likely your tv has hdmi arc or earc,,, so your tv likely relays some inputs like power, volume to the device. That is the only downside I can see, which has less to do with the remote and more to do with limitations of ir technology. If SofaBaton makes a hub or ir relay addon, that would make it even better.Product feels well made, the rolling encoder knob scrolls fine and isn’t skipping (thus far, I’ve only owned a week). The app is intuitive and it’s nice to have a number pad for digit entry. At this price point, there isn’t any anything better in the market. Increasingly this is a niche product so I’m just glad someone’s picking up the baton from Logitech (who have discontinued harmony remotes and support).

Easy to set up to handle devices but has delays for things like scrolling.
This is a well built device, and super easy to set up with the app and toy with. I like the design in general, made it super easy to add my devices and handles... most of the functions.Really lacks in handling the receiver that has more buttons/commands than just "start pause left right volume", but you can assign a sequence of commands to the 4 colored buttons, so I set those to turn on tv and receiver, set receiver to music and to direct. Or to turn on tv, bluetooth player, set it to dolby surround and bluetooth input. It Does have a 10digit numpad, you could reassign these as well as they're pretty useless otherwise. In general, this is an inexpensive programmable remote, pretty well built you just have to find a way to make it work for you.Oh, it Does have an actual STOP button which is great for those of us streaming video via plex or the like. You can actually STOP.There is where my biggest annoyance is though. You can use the direction pad to scroll, but it's like one item a second, and if you're scrolling 100 videos or songs it's going to take you a WHILE to get down to the bottom ones. So I tend to still use the TV remote for that.Considering I stream my videos more than any other use, that slow-scroll is kind of a dealbreaker for me in it being a true universal remote, but I'm sure most people don't have a folder with hundreds of media they scroll through like I do.All in all it's a very well done universal remote and super easy to set up. It's no old Pronto with super programmability, but also it's no old Pronto with the need to manually program every single pixel on the whole device lol

Great Concept - Poor Execution
Interested in this product? Know the facts before you buy (see below)This review is not based on a single use (I purchased 3 of them and all of them perform the same), and is also based on 2 years of use.GOOD:- Has the ability to run multiple devices from a single remote- The configuration of this product is fairly easyBAD:- The IR (infrared) sensor has a very short range and requires the "PERFECT" angle from remote IR sensor to device IR sensor. If you are used to changing the volume while standing off to the side of your TV, you will not get that luxury with this remote. If you are used to changing the volume while in bed, you're getting your ass up and standing in front of the TV.- Multi-taps! This is by far the most annoying behavior of this remote. When pressing the select button you might select the option highlighted on screen, or you may end up 4 selections in. If you click on a category to see your options, half the time it starts a show at random because it multi-taps, so just by clicking category [x] the remote has taken you to the options, chosen the 1st option and pressed play in a single click. Don't even try to type in the on screen key board. Trying to search "Comedy" may get you "Commmm" or "Comm" and when you go to delete the extra "m" now you might have "Com" (if you're lucky) or "Co" or "C" and sometimes it deletes them all and you have to type it all again.- Unresponsive, the remote may take 3 - 5 clicks before it starts recognizing you are trying to use it.Maybe it's because you were not standing in the perfect spot in the room with the remote at exactly 3.58746 feet from the ground and an angle of 32.6587456 degrees to the IR sensor of the receiving device and you just farted so the dust particles are in the air obstructing the view. Or maybe it's because the company did not hire anyone to perform Quality Control. But these are CRAP!
