Does not convert TRRS male (iMac) to TRS (female) for headphones
This may work to convert a TRS 3.5mm microphone cable to a TRRS plug into an older iPhone or iMac with a 3.5mm jack, but it does not work to adapt a TRS 3.5mm headphone jack to plug it into a TRRS jack on an iMac. Consider it only for audio INPUT use, not for audio OUTPUT.Either that, or it's just broken on arrival, but I have no way to test that further. I just cannot hear any sound in my headphones with this adapter cable between my iMac and my headphones.
