UPDATE. Apologies. This was purely user error, the unit was fine so I cancelled the replacement and kept the original unit. All is now good. The unit is quite impressive in what it can do for the money, but our unit stopped working (completely dead) after two months of ownership and only used three times. I now need to return the product for a replacement, if the replacement is better quality, i will adjust my review later.

Perfect fast and clear

Very good microscope and display. The only issue is with the base plate PCB clips which are virtually useless when hand soldering. But without them the PCB slides everywhere so we attached some thin self-adhesive neoprene foam rubber sheet - works a treat and would recommend as an immediate modification! Overall, however, very good value and a huge improvement to peering down a conventional microscope

Used it for fine detail on stamps

I already have a USB microscope, but this one is so much better. The increased working distance allows easy use of tools without the lens getting in the way. The image quality is excellent. It's shame that it is not possible to display the image on the built in monitor and the computer at the same time (I was aware of this limitation when I bought it).

I really can’t criticise this for the price, sure there’s things that could maybe be improved on but it’s a good microscope for £350!

I liked the large screen, the lighting and the colour rendition. I found that the stem was too short to take advantage of the possible magnification range. In any case it is nowhere near x300 except on a large TV monitor. The limited throat would not accept large specimens. I could not read the buttons on the bottom of the case. There was no noise associated with the shutter release as found on many other electronic microscopes. I have not used it with the software supplied so perhaps it is different when used in conjunction with a PC. I only use it occasionally and I would recommend a 19lXL Really Useful Box as a case.

Jeśli chodzi o jakość przy lutowaniu pcb jest ok. Gdyby był autofocus byłaby super ale to nie ten przedział cenowy. Przestrzeń między obiektywem a stolikiem to 22 cm - całkowicie wystarcza do swobodnego lutowania. Widoczne ograniczenia statywu - brak możliwości swobodnego przemieszczania na boki - odczuwa się to już przy piwszej pracy przy lutowaniu pcb. Kamera endoskopowa - przydaby się znacznik jak należy ją ustawić aby obraz prawidłowo pokazywał góra-dół. Po tygodniu używania nadal śmierdzi plastikiem (nie wiadomo z jakiego tworzywa jest obudowaekranu). Jak dla mnie wystarczy ale pierwsza rzecz do poprawki, to zakup innego statywu z większą swobodą manewrowania oczywiście to na potrzeby lutowania.

Sehr gutes Gerät, braucht fast keinen Platz, gute Optik , bin sehr zufrieden, schade keine dritte Hand, es gibt viele Optionen für diese Lösung !!

Tiene una pega. No se puede duplicar la pantalla a través del cable mini HDMI - HDMI que trae el equipo. Es decir, no puedes trabajar simultáneamente con la propia pantalla del equipo y un monitor/TV de apoyo. Si alguien conoce un método para poder hacerlo, el equipo quedaría muy logrado.
