Southwire 8-Gauge Bare Copper Wire – Solid Soft‑Drawn Uninsulated Copper Conductor for Grounding & Electrical Applications, 50ft

Speaking from the perspective of a DIYer with input from my brother (a Square D sales rep), this product has been the most cost effective and quality manufactured wire that I have used. Locally, the price is comparable to what I would have to drive out of my way to obtain and since I first tried it, has met all of the demands expected of it. As a DIYer, Amazon's delivery service keeps me from having to leave the house when I can keep a supply of it here at home for when its needed. Used mainly for rewiring in an old 1940s era house, it delivers on what is promised in its advertising, has yet to fail or cause potentially dangerous electrical hazards and by far exceeds the quality of other brands that I've tried. For my budget & needs, it exceeds all expectations.

Great wire. The only problem was with Amazon: when I ordered it was listed as up for delivery between 10am-3pm, but they tried to deliver it at 5:40am! We don't open til 7:30am AS IS LISTED IN DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS! This REPEATED SIX TIMES until it was finally delivered DURING BUSINESS HOURS! Ridiculous! Very stupid delivery programming! I'm going thru the same thing AGAIN with another item: FOUR TIMES NOW today! FIX THE PROGRAMMING AMAZON!

I do not have a lot of options to use wire for hobby crafting. Building supply stores think I am kidding about wanting it. Farmers want to scrap theirs and not give me a chance to buy it...or they want scrap price while still coated or on a spool. It is good wire...exactly what I need and want

Got this copper wire to use for grounding. I gave it 4 stars because I needed it to fit snugly into the ground wall socket and it does not as it is skinnier and slips out. As a pro side it does conduct beautifully. Unfortunately, I had to buy an additional conductive copper tape to wrap around it to thicken it, so to fits in the wall socket. When cutting it I can see it is genuine copper. That is a plus. I wish this company could have offered copper that fit a wall socket for those like me who want to ground/earthing their bedding. I would still recommend it as material wise it is genuine copper 100% In a day and age where most stuff is fake this is genuine.
