NICE LIGHTS
I have had solar lights for years along this driveway in the mountains. Each year the solar lights get worse. The last 2 years I was buying replacement lights, felt like every week. Finally decided to install what I had always wanted to do, which is, low voltage, wired lights. I have had low voltage lights everywhere at another home and the only problem was a bulb replacement once in a while. These lights span 120 feet and easy to install. All metal, not plastic crap. Look great and so far solved my problem. I would recommend these.

Install made easier with heat gun
I was installing this set of lights on an existing system of transformer and main cable. The original system was probably 15 years old. Right off the bat I realized that the main cable was in good shape but very hard and rigid. Just separating the two conductors was a problem. That's when I remembered the handy new heat gun I bought a while ago. This made the job so much easier. I softened up the cable, first, to split the conductors. Than once they were separate parallel cables, I again heated them up which allowed the little SUNVIE fastlock2 connector to quickly pierce the main cable wires. As I went from light to light I tested each one. Every one lit the first time with no fiddling around to make the connection. One tip for mounting the light in the ground - use the flat ribbed plate with your foot or a hammer to put them in the ground - don't push on the metal hood. The hood is just press fitted to the plastic 'bulb' - you don't want that to crack from trying to push the light into the ground. All in all, a nice set of lights.

Good quality
Lights have been in use less than two weeks. Very pleased with the quality of fixtures and light brightness. The lights and posts are very sturdy. Especially happy that both and posts and the stakes are metal. I have had wired outdoor lights in the past and the stakes were always plastic amd they broke easily. The provided wire connectors made for easy installation.

Good value, looks great - not the most durable
I am a landscaper, and install landscape lights quite often, so let me first say that once these are installed - they look just as good as the high-end units we put in (the ones that cost upwards of $300 per light, such as Kichler). The assembly is the first clue that these are not exactly built to last - thin-walled metal tubing, threads that look like they could strip easily, and the metal frame for the uplights bent once as I was trying to adjust it.In addition, since installation two of the round shades for the path lights have broken off their plastic housing through some incidental contact (once from a hose, another time from a snow shovel). Repaired relatively easily, but likely to break again in the future. The actual installation is fairly foolproof, but not eactly easy. The strange little threaded assembly they give you is actually tough to get a good connection with - I had to strip more of the wire from the lights than was provided, which is fine - if you have wire strippers. The little spike-things that are meant to sit like a saddle on top of the electrical wire were also tough to install. The "saddle" portion was a little too narrow for the insulated wire I was using, which made the threaded cap VERY tough to screw on. Since both parts were plastic, there was enough elasticity that I was able to get them all on, but I suspect that could be another failure point down the road, especially given our cold winters. In the end, I ended up using more traditional connections (ACE connectors, which require a torch to weather-proof them) that will probably last much longer than the lights. All that being said, for the money I was able to uplight two of my trees in the front yard and provide path lighting from my front sidewalk all the way back to my patio area in the back yard, for FAR less than I would have using a higher-end commercial light.I added a smart-plug in the transformer, and now they are controlled by my smart-phone, and they look fantastic. If you are comfortable doing some VERY basic electrical work (you don't even have to mess with a positive or negative line with low voltage like this) - I would highly recommend these; so long as you don't care if you have to replace a few over time.

Decent light
I’ve only had these installed for about a month. So far I’ve had no issues and they look great. I was surprised how sturdy the tube body and pointy piece were. They screwed together well and there was no wiggle.

Why couldn’t I have found this product sooner. !!
For the price that I paid for two lights at a big box store I just bought eight Sunvie lights. They are by far a better product all metal have a foot peg to get them in to harder soil . Simple to put them together and if a bulb would ever need replacing could do it with your eyes closed . The connectors for wiring had me in mind as sometimes my hands have trouble working with tools . Straight forward solid simple engineering at its finest . The bulbs are bright simple to turn on off and dim . You look like you had a professional come install for a fraction of the price but still high quality. Check out the Sunvie Facebook page where you can see where everyone shares the end results
