Kendo Practice Bamboo Training Samurai Sword Katana Set of 2-44" Each

My 15-year-old son absolutely LOVES these; they were his favorite 2023 Christmas gift. He does not take martial arts so he just "messes with" them, but he loves them all the same. He is very very rough on his belongings, especially physical stuff like these items but neither have shown any signs of breaking, bruising or even having a mark. He also loves the fact that they came as a pack of 2 so he and his friends (or sometimes me when there's no one else around for him to spar with) can face off fairly. He also loves the nice crisp "THWACK!" noise they make when they smack each other. When he doesn't have a partner to spar with, he uses both at the same time to swing, jump and spin to his heart's content. When I end up being his sparring partner, I like the fact that the included guards keep my fingers nice and safe from any low thwacking or sliding. I can't speak for someone who's looking at these as equipment for actual martial arts usage, but for a lay person like my kid, they're definitely a 5 star gift that I would absolutely buy again!

I don't have mittens but this was bit skinny for my liking. So probably good for kids or young teens.Grip part isn't what I'm used to (rough reverse end of leather) material and is smooth PU (maybe).Good enough for my "I don't want to do anything for my exercise"

My son's love to play fight with these, they are sturdy enough to have serious battles but noone gets hurt because the flex. They've taken a real beating and don't look any worse for wear.

They started falling apart after a couple days of light use, the string had to be retied and replaced.
